Why do vegans eat food products that represent animals?

Probably the reason some of them are shaped/coloured/named to resemble meat is simply to market them to omnivores. I'd eat them even if they weren't though.

^^ I think it is this, exactly. It's all about marketing and trying to attract a bigger audience. Honestly, if you are ethically opposed to meat or do not like the taste of meat are you really that interested in Chik'n nuggets? Wouldn't you be just as happy eating Soy nuggets or Bean nuggets. However, if you're just thinking about maybe trying a non-meat product, you are much more likely to pick up Chik'n nuggest than soy nuggets.
It's all about big business trying to make a buck.0
