what was your small win for the day?

I not only exercised today, I got in two sessions/types of exercise!
Another one was that at work today I literally RAN up the stairs from 2nd to 3rd floor and back and it was no big deal!
Ummmm... does that victory get negated because of the reason I ran up and down the stairs that way? One co-worker was holding the phone after putting in a multiple meal order and needed a credit card from another co-worker who was buying us all lunch today to finish it out. :blushing:0 -
I sorta got hit on at the supermarket today. In my sweaty workout gear. And I was too shy and muttered something and walked away. BUT it still happened.

THE PLATEAU IS BROKEN!!!!0 -
I wanted to snack tonight, instead I had some strawberries and water to drink and told myself I was done eating for the day. Now I have to go to bed so I stick to that!0
-
I avoided bad snacks and kept my meals portioned despite not having work and class today. I didn't cheat on my lazy day!0

My large victory was rather small in a sense. I went out to purchase some new jeans as none of mine fit any longer. I told the sales girl what size I was wearing and that I thought I'd need a few sizes smaller. She came back with 27's which translates to a size 6! I have NEVER been that small. The closest I ever got was a 9/10 ... Needless to say I cried. Thanks for asking.
How exciting! You earned it!0 -
I hit 222.2 this morining. A weight I havent seen for.. well longer than a decade and longer than I have kept records. I really dont know when the last time I weighed 222. I weighed 235 most of my 30s. Im still going too.. still burning off that fat.0

I ran farther than I did last time0

I actually have two wins for today! I was actually planning on going out and cheating on my healthy diet, but I called a friend who is helping me with my weight lose and she helped me go to the gym instead. My second win was that I completed the firs day of the couch to 5K app I ran for 8 mins. ( not one after another ) it aint much to most people but for someone who has never run for more than a min. a day its pretty big!0

I went to dinner with my husband to Kyoto Steakhouse....(like a Benihanas). I ate 1/2 my entree and ordered extra veggies,( so I have 1/2 my dinner plus extra veggies) and I only ate 1/2 the fried rice...packed that up too.
AND refused dessert.
So now I get some nice teppanyaki for breakfast tomorrow...but best part is I was under my goal! Plus I stopped when I was full, and didnt keep eating cos it was tasting so good.
I am rather proud of myself atm.0 -
My win today:
I'm in the longest plateau of my whole weight loss journey. But today I was weight and measured by trainer. I only lost 1 pound in 2 weeks....... BUT down 5% body fat and gained 2.5 pounds in lean tissue, plus down a inch in my abd's and chest. My trainer said that he could total see the difference in my arms. So even though I'm not seeing the scale down like I want to, I am encouraged by the measurements. Slowly breaking though this plateau. I call this a big win!0 -
I worked out for over an hour. I've never worked out that long before. I maintained an average pace of 4 mph and even threw in various inclines!0
-
my small win was today was getting compliments by strangers at the gym.. they said I have a perfect body?.. I don't really think so.. I could stand to lose 20 more pounds.. but hey!.. I can live for 2 months on a compliment!.. LOL!0
-
Yesterday I went out for lunch with some friends and resisted both the very tempting Italian bread and the wine!0
-
I recently injured my foot so I have not been able to walk (my form of exercise)....I have been really worried that I would put on weight this week....but I got on the scale and I lost 1 pound this week! I am very happy.0

What a great question! My small win was that despite hurrying out the door with nothing but coffee in my stomach at 8am, and being stuck in meetings til 1pm... I avoided the drive-thru at lunchtime and got sushi instead. Much tastier and prob saved me 800 calories.0

For lunch I had whole wheat pita bread and freshly made hummus as opposed to the caramel macchiato (with extra caramel) and white bread and mozzarella cheese sandwich I was initially planning on.0

I ran 20 min strait today! longest ive ever ran in my life! i felt like i could have done more and now im egar to get back out there lol.
Congratulations!!!! I know the feeling. I had the same small victory this week! It might not seem like much, but running takes a lot out of you! 20 minutes in run-time is a loooooooong time. Good for you!0 -
I went to this pizza place that I used to go to often when I was really unhealthy and the owner said "Wow, you have lost a lot of weight, you look healthy!" This totally made my day0

Deciding to get back on the bandwagon.0

Fitting into a pair of scrub pants that I haven't worn for about a year. Yay me0

I bought my wedding dress online tonight... in a size 60

I didn't overload on carbs today. Was sooo hungry all day and so tempted to eat junk, but I stuck to meats, cheese, eggs, low carb tortillas, protein bar, etc.
Although I didn't accomplish all I set out to do today, it was WAY better than the last few days and not as good as tomorrow will be
So, that was my small victory for today.
Goodnight all!

I put on pants that I bought in June that were tight and today they were loose. I had to keep pulling them up and I had the belt all the way to the last notch.
great topic by the way...it's the small successes that add up to big ones and keep us going if we acknowledge them but its so easy to overlook them when the goal is to lose alot of weight like me...Thanks for reminding me!0 -
I started a YMCA membership today, and I'm making the most of it!0
