Job interview. If I do wear a skirt, do I wear pantyhose?

Both.
Add: And a white blouse under a blazer/jacket that matches the skirt if possible.0 -
Yes you do...0

yes.0
-
Absolutely. And then you wear them to work everyday after when you wear skirts.
Good luck! I hope you nail it!0 -
Is your interviewer recently divorced?
I kid, yes.0 -
Absolutely. I'll also second chivalryder and say a suit is your best option.0

To be honest I never got the hype. It usually takes me a few seconds to realise someone is wearing hose and doesn't actually just have really nice leg skin LOL
but yeah, in an evironment like that it's best to be safe. Wear 'em.0 -
Only if you're female
Sorry, couldn't resist. I say yes.0 -
If it's a "business dress" atmosphere, then I say yes. Everywhere I've worked that had a dress code better than casual required hose...0

People still wear pantyhose????0
-
yep absolutely0
-
it depends whether you are a man or a woman...0

People still wear pantyhose????

You can always get the spray-on variants.0 -
Absolutely.
I always do, thought not out of requirement...more from the fact my legs are so pasty white I get the ones that make me look tanned!0 -
For finance yes.
If you were going to work at an insurance office or a small business, I would say no. But Corporate America usually has some pretty strict dress codes.
Good luck!0 -
Yes - unless you're in a very hot climate where everyone walks around with bare legs, or you have smooth, tanned, gleaming, completely hair-free legs that could secure you the job on their own. Any stubble, bumps and bruises - best to cover up. :happy:0

Go naked with nipple tassels.0
-
Yes; though if you want to funk it up, I believe it's now acceptable to wear a solid color or black instead of nude. However, to be absolutely safe, see-through nude is the way to go. No patterns, no colours...0
-
yes. i don't know how old you are, but I always like to wear black with a pattern (not colored, but sewn in, you know what I mean? Like a paisley pattern or something) to show a bit of your personality.0

^This
And take pictures to share on here!0 -
Speaking as a recruiter, for the first interview in that environment yes. After that, for any follow up interviews, take the lead of what you see when you are there. Always wear a suit first, unless you are specifically told something else. (Just my advice)0

People still wear pantyhose????
Exactly! Yes for the skirt ordress and blazer but pantyhose are ole school. You don't have to wear them to be professional anymore.0 -

If your legs have imperfections in them, I would wear something over your legs.0 -

THIS!
For my current job (I am a tax accountant in the private sector), I wore a dress suit (with pantyhose and CLOSE-TOED shoes!) to both of my interviews. On a day to day basis however we are business casual. I wear dresses with sandals sometimes in the summer without pantyhose, but wouldn't have dreamed of showing up to an interview that way.0 -
I've been in corporate America (successfully) for 30 years and haven't owned a pair of pantyhose in 20. When I interview, I think women who wear hose are odd or uptight. Unless your skirt is too short, this should never be an issue... and even then, it's a skirt length issue, not a pantyhose issue. An absurd creation by men for men... nuts. If you're uncomfortable or unsure, wear black slacks.0
