I say Rusually instead of usually. I add a mystery R.

My girlfriends think it's hysterical but now catch themselves doing the same thing. I'm contagious.

You'd never ever want to come to my town. I swear no one is capable of saying ask correctly.

Sublime - I think the Americans (at least the voice over on a bronzing advert) say "sub-leem"

Lots of Americanisms of English words annoy me - but then I am from the UK and have had to start adapting now I live in Canada, although it's very mixed up here as to what people use - American or English!

I'll agree on one...aluminum makes no sense. Aluminium, though ridiculous to us is the way it should be.
  • Idear. There is no "R" in the word "idea"

I have never heard any American say sub-leem. All the people on this side of the pond say sub-LIME when they do say it.

Amber from Teen Mom is the most notorious for this... makes me crazy:

Think instead of thing. IE: "You don't know anythink!" it's like the letter G doesn't exist.

merote instead or remote. Bad one for me. There are a few others, but that one stands out.

    Aks for ask
    Hunnerd for hundred
    Supposably for supposedly
    Differnt for different
    Crick for creek
    Ain't instead of isn't
....I have a lot that drive me nuts apparently.
  • Often with a loud 't'

Not many bug me, the phrase 'very unique' makes me cringe.

Idear. There is no "R" in the word "idea"

Maybe they should return that R to the "LIBARY!"

I had the Aluminium discussion the other day with someone, along with how do you pronounce Z.

"In'it" is one of my big peeves from the UK chav classes and I hate it when I find myself saying it!

Walmarts...with an s on the end. I hear old folks say it which is cool cause I like the way old people talk. But then I hear others who are not old and I just want to say "It's WalmarT" not walmarts. And ideal in place of idea.
