    I have the regular Kindle and I love it. My sister has the Kindle Fire and I don't like the backlight. It is to much like a computer and hurts my eyes if I read on it for very long.

    Yes!!! I have had 3 Kindles, and currently have the fire. I do not recommend the KIndle Fire if you are going to read outside after the sun comes up, because it is difficult to see the screen. The other Kindles are great. I still read regular books at times, but always travel with the Kindle even for weekends. I read a variety of books and sometimes don't know what I want to read next. With an Ereader I can have a bunch on there, and then decide what I feel like. Wasn't sure at first, because I like the feel of books, but then ...LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

    We have a nook, but now that hubby has an iPad and I have an HP touchpad, the nook sits completely unused. It was really nifty, though, until it was made redundant.
