Lori and Marla - an airing cupboard is usually a cupboard in the house which also holds the hot water cylinder , so it helps to dry the clothes without them being all over the house - I like clothes dried on the airer but so do the boys and then I have to waqsh it all again urgh!!!!!!!!. It also means that I don't have to have the tumble dryer on all day (4 boys plus mum and dad = tonnes of washing especially when the 12 year old won't wear anything more than once and usually for only a few hours......)

Sorry for the confusion, I just had to ask Rob what the hot water is held in :blushing: , I have gone brain dead after attending one of John's little friends birthday parties, 30 lovely little 5 year olds running riot for 2 hours......

Don't be sorry! It's interesting to me to hear how others do it.

I just got done doing 7 miles on the treadmill. I ran 6.2 miles (10K) and then walked the rest on a 4% incline. This is a HUGE accomplishment for me since I haven’t ran a 10K in over 4 years. I guess there is a thing such as muscle memory. I’m especially ecstatic doing this at 180 lbs. I use to run at 120 lbs so this is a really BIG deal. Now, I don’t know if my joints agree, but they’ll have to adjust (LOL).

-Shaunte and Samantha you inspired me to go that long.

The weather is positively nasty here. Rain, rain, rain.

I am cleaning my kitchen, like really cleaning, scrubbing, cleaning out cupboards. I've been at it 2 hours and I'm not even close to being done. My arm already hurts!

I've been on a cleaning jag. Yesterday was my bedroom, curtains, windows, baseboards. It seems so sparkly and clean.

The bathrooms- they are next. :grumble:

It's a beautiful day in PA today. dh and ds taking down the Christmas lights. I'm running around cleaning like a nut. Meeting my brother and some cousins for dinner tonight in Princeton. We are all in different areas and that is the center for all of us...about an hour drive for us. A seafood place that is a BYOB. Printed out the menu and trying to plan out exactly what to have so I don't stray when I get there.

and of course tomorrow...........Marla are you getting ready for your J E T S JETS JETS JETS??????
    Have a great day! D

You can count calories from cleaning. I don't, but that's me. I only count those from exercise. Usually I take the weekends off from official exercise, but if I go slighly over on my calories today, I won't sweat it, I'll know I worked hard all day!

I read your profile, RIchardsm.......I wanted you to know I wanted to be 48 and not feel old and frumpy. A friend said that losign weight would not change how I felt...............she was so WRONG!

I felt healthy and anything but frumpy when I dressed up and went to a concert the other night at the casino. I walked with pride and good posture from yoga and weight lifting...........danced all night because of my cardio............and only had 2 beers because, heck I wasnt blowing my week on alcohol!!

Losing that 20 pounds it going to make you feel GREAT!!!

Good Saturday Black Team ! Just got back from doing W1D1 of C5K, tired but feeling great. Actually doing the running in town so I have a lot of people to be accountable to if I quit. Last time I did it there was no one around but Jim and I, well not this time. Must remember to take my inhaler with me next time, breathing is nice.

Lori ... Way to go on the pull ups.

Marla ...Woman you are an inspiration. The way you push past all of whatever is going on and still run.

Tanya .. So much done before 9am and with 2 little ones. Amazing ! I understand about being around a lot of little ones. I coach the 8 yr olds and younger in our town's summer swim league.

Roni ..Thank you for understanding and I know what you mean about working the upper body. I hate it and really need to work harder. WTG on the push ups.

Doreen .. Good luck with your strength training.

Jan ... Hope you had a great run.

Shuntae ... Great run, and yes I count the point whatever miles. I figure I did them and I am going to count them.

Sam ... I hope you are feeling better.

Amanda, Beth, Andrew, Janie and the rest of the Black Team.....Hi !!!!!

Jeannie... I'm glad you had a great time at the concert. Tell your friend who said losing the weight wouldn't do anything they are nuts. Its working wonders for me.

Uh, breathing is crucial when running my friend!! I take a puf before and another after. Helps a LOT...dont have to think so hard on the inhaling part.

I am back to C25K.........2nd week! We can do this Bobbi!!

    Woot!

    Afternoon, people--

Just had a surprise visit from my mother-in-law-- a$$wipe father-in-law brought her here for a couple hours. (for any who don't know-- he has locked her in an Alzheimer's hospital against her wishes, and lies to her that she's only there because he needs to be there-- blah, blah, blah-- awful tale)

Awesome to see her-- as usual, she was much clearer and stronger upon leaving than she was when she got here. We keep praying that somehow she'll end up living here with us-- she's so good while here. Sniff. :brokenheart:

I'm down to 222 calories for the day-- not good. I'll get a run or something in later so I can have dinner.

Need to scoot for now-- later peeps.

The weather is positively nasty here. Rain, rain, rain.

I almost wish I would have worn my HRM. I was up and down off the chair to reach high stuff, I was up and down off the floor to reach low stuff. I scrubbed til my arm felt like it might fall off. I worked in my kitchen from 10ish this morning til 5. I stopped for a few minutes to eat some lunch and grab a snack. Without counting exercise calories today, I am going to go over, because I am freaking starving right now and I already know I'm eating more than a 250 calorie dinner.

Granted I could go get on the elliptical, but I'm thinking about tackling the bathrooms yet and ironing the dust ruffle for my new bedding set.....

I'm not sure what's gotten into me, but hubs said he likes it. Actually hubs was away this week and I have this strange thing that I like the house to be clean when he gets home but usually I just do surface stuff. I think maybe I know nice weather is coming and I don't want to be stuck in the house when it gets here.

Hey guys I just popped in for a minute to report to Lori:wink: I tried out the assisted pull up machine at the gym today. I set the resistance (is it still called resistance when it offsets your weight?) anyhoo...I set it to where I was actually only lifting about 60 lbs of my body weight. And I did 20 yes TWENTY!!:drinker: Ok, so it wasnt all my body weight, but its a start:wink:

Oh yeah, and I didnt fall off of it but I did bump my head on one of the bar thingys at the top:ohwell: I dont think anyone saw it though, I looked around and didnt see anyone looking at me:blushing:

    Have a great night guys:flowerforyou:

RONI DID IT! RONI DID IT! I'm so happy you tried and cranked out 20! Just think when you weigh 60 pounds, you'll be pull up queen. :noway:  Ok, maybe not. But you'll get stronger as you do it and eventually be lifting 70 pounds, then 80.....

I'm so happy for you! I can't stop smiling! I love that the accomplishments of others are as satisfying as my own.

Speaking of... I have to do a few more pull ups today. I was so busy I forgot until just a bit ago. Did 3 this morning, than 2 before I ironed, so 2 more to make my goal. I think I'll do 'em now and call it a day. I'm exhausted!

RONI DID IT! RONI DID IT!
