Happy Tuesday all! Today is week 3 day 2 of the Insanity program and I completed 42 minutes of the Plyometric Cardio Circuit. I did see some improvement today in my ability to stick w/each exercise a little bit longer although the level 1 drill circuit (plank, 4 push ups, 4 mountain climbers, ski abs and in/out abs) is STILL KICKING MY BUTT, By the time we get to those drills my legs are pretty much gone and my upper body strength sucks. My legs are soooo much stronger than my upper body but hey that's why I am doing this program, to get stronger as a whole so I know I can't do anything other than benefit from the program.

My knee bothered me a little through some of the moves but overall held up pretty good. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I am about to get ready for work so I'll try to catch up on posts a little later. Have a great day everyone.

I have had a very busy day, and tomorrow looks like it could be busier. We are going camping with the family Thursday through Sunday. There will be 20 of us there for our annual spring campout. I have the menu planned and pre-logged in my food diary, and I'm packing groceries now. I will try to pop in tomorrow, but then you won't here from me for the rest of the week. Everyone stay well and focused, and try to enjoy the arrival of warmer weather (I hope)! Here's to smart choices!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I hope everyone's Wednesday gets off to a great start. Today is week 3 day three of the Insanity program which means I am suppose to tackle the PURE "EVIL" cardio dvd. Last night when I realized I was going to have to tackle the Pure Cardio beast this morning I decided to take on a different approach. I really prepared myself mentally for the challenge and told myself that I was going to give it my all BUT I was going to go at my pace and not get caught up in the fact that the participants in the dvd may be moving faster than I am. I woke up at 5 am with my mind right but my body somewhere else. TOM snuck on me out of nowhere. I knew it would be here this week but was really expecting it Friday/Saturday but no here she was today and the cramps were in full effect. I told myself I would complete this workout regardless and I'm proud to announce that Pure Cardio was not as evil as it has been previously. While I did take the necessary breaks when needed I realized I didn't need quite as many when I was going at my own pace and I was able to recover a lot quicker. I hope this mind over matter philosophy and going at my own pace works the next time I tackle this dvd....LOL Anyway, Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs are completed and I'm about to head off to start my work day.

I'll check in on the thread a little later. Have a great day all!

Happy Thursday all! Today is week 3 day 4 of the Insanity program which means its A RECOVERY DAY....WOOHOO! With my TOM and cramps in full effect I really needed and looked forward to completing the Cardio Recovery dvd. I sooo love Thursday b/c it's the one day of the week where Shaun T hasn't lost his mind and I don't find myself questioning why I decided to tackle this program. Well the workout is done and now it's time to head to work. Hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful workout.

    Hi guys,
It's the night before... I am really hoping to have dropped, but I started riding my bike again and started the Couch to 5K program! I'm hoping to make it this time.. I've tried it 2 other times but shin splints got the better of me. Of course, I was heavier then, but keeping my fingers crossed! I even picked out a race for Memorial Day!

    Chocolickkyss, you're my inspiration!
Thanks for checking in and keeping things going!

Good morning and HAPPY FRIDAY! Today is week 3 day 5 of the Insanity program and I completed the Cardio Power and Resistance dvd. I'm still not at the top of my game b/c of TOM but I must admit I get better each passing day. I can't believe i'm just about done w/my 3rd week of the Insanity program. I watched the Plyometrics dvd for month 2 and don't think I'll be ready to take on that beast. I know I have a couple more weeks before month 2 begins but the dvd is a tad bit intimidating.

Anyway, I hope everyone is able to get off to a great start today and gets in an AWESOME workout.

I'm off to get ready for work. Hopefully I'll be able to check in w/everyone a little later.

Sphinctress: who would ever thought I could be someones inspiration. Thank you for such nice words. Hope your workouts and weight loss journey are coming along well.

I plan to post my numbers later. I did weigh in and according to the scale I'm up a 1lb but I'm not too worried b/c it's TOM. The scale also says my body fat % has dropped by 2% if I use the athlete mode and 1% if I use the normal mode.

    Good morning!
So, I didn't weigh in yesterday b/c I ate... happy to report I'm down 2 pounds... hopefully this will continue... tired of the plateau!
    : )
OH! I just took measurements and lost 1/4 in. off my neck, 1" off my hips, and 2" off my waist!!! So, as far as numbers go, I guess I shouldn't be too worried about the scale! hee.hee. : )

I am going to try to not eat anything after dinner... which for me is kind of my downfall b/c I usually have calories left to burn, that and staying up late to study, I end up hungry again if I'm not asleep before midnight.

Well, I didn't weigh in this week. I had a really busy few days leading up to weigh in, and then I had a really fun camping trip with the family this weekend. Oh, did I mention the 6+ inches of snow that fell yesterday and today? Eeeesh. We counted, and this is the 7th spring that we've done our campout this weekend (the weekend closest to the first day of spring). Of those 7, the worst one before this year was when it rained all weekend. THAT year, we only 1 child who was mobile, and we made it work. This time, with snow, and 5 children between 2 and 5, we opted to move the campout to my sister's house about 30 minutes from the campground. Still lots of fun, but I miss the camping. Well, my spring break has officially begun. Tomorrow brings Easter dress shopping, perhaps a visit with cousins in Wichita, and maybe a trip to Exploration Place. Tuesday and Wednesday are pretty open (at the moment:laugh: ). Thursday the kids go on a field trip with their daycare, I will take the car into get looked at and the oil changed. Friday is a work day for me. Saturday is music festival for my solos and ensembles. Should be a fun week! I hope everyone else is having a great week, too! May day is quickly approaching! Keep up the good work!

Good morning all! I hope everyone's weekend was wonderful. I really enjoyed my weekend but I must admit my eating was off the chart. I'm not really sure where the desire to eat everything came from but nonetheless it was here and in full effect. In addition to eating a little crazy I could not get out the bed this morning and get the workout in. This is the first time since I've joined MFP that I can recall not completing a morning workout. My lower back was aching something awful so I opted to remain in bed w/the heating pad and it feels a tad bit better. I DO PLAN ON WORKING OUT TODAY so don't give up on me just yet. If my back feels better I will complete the Insanity dvd or hit the gym and do the elliptical. If the back does not feel better I will do a walking dvd.

I hope everyone has a great day! I'll check in a little later when the workout is complete.

Despite the arthritis in the lower back acting up all day, the cold, rainy day and how extremely exhausted I am I have completed today's workout. The back only saw a little relief so I opted to complete 36 minutes of a Leslie Sansone dvd in hopes of being able to bring it w/my Cardio Power and Resistance workout tomorrow.

My plan is to make it an early night so I can get up bright and early tomorrow and knock out the workout.
