    E.T.

i was 3 when i first saw it and 31 years later the sight of that little *kitten* makes my stomach turn.

    ^^

This is exactly how I am. People think I'm crazy when I say it, but I just never understood how that could be considered a kid's movie - scared me to pieces!

The Last House on the Left

The remake, or the 1972 original? I haven't seen the remake, but the original is really f*cking disturbing.

Okay, I just found this thread...good read!

I LOVE horror flicks!! But I remember being horrified the 1st time i ever saw Nightmare on Elm Street, my sister was 18, I was 6 when it came out on VHS. She rented it when a friend spent the night and they kepy making screeching noises with their nails all night long freaking me out!!!
PS>>>the Nightmare on Elm Street Series is now one of my favorites, I forced myself to sit down, watch and get over it!

I totally agree with those that said Strangers....Really?? I was STUNNED!!

Drive creeped me out, Ryan Gosling is HOT, but that scene with the skull bashing ruined me..
    .
Exorcist, Frailty, Poltergeist, IT all freaked me out too...but I got over them like i did Nightmare....

But one I can barely watch again is The Legend of Lizzie Borden, I couldn't even watch Bewitched after seeing Elizabeth Montgomery in that movie! ...though, I confess I've been wanting to see it again lately...

Another one is one I found on Hulu some years back, it's called "Teeth" If you're a guy, you may not want to see it, j/s

It's about a girl with teeth in a very peculiar place, very disturbing and graphic!!!

    'Irreversible'
The one and only film that i was very close to turning off because i couldnt stomach it, watching it feels like an ordeal in itself. The film is known for 'that rape scene', which seems to go on forever. Btw I thought the human centipede was quite comical and a bit lame, nowhere near as disturbing as Irreversible.

Its funny I can watch horror films, gory films and the like and they never bother me one little bit no matter how bad they are. Yet I still get scared to this day going into the sea after watching Jaws!!

"I Spit On Your Grave". -- The remake version. I've seen both, & the original SUCKED IMO. The revenge tactics were just really stupid. But in the remake, man.. That stuff was brutal! It definitely stuck in my head & made me cringe, a lot.

"The Last House On The Left" -- The original. The whole scene with the gutting.. grosss. It definitely freaked me out.

"Hellraiser" -- I love these movies, but some of the death scenes are pretty graphic, & sometimes just freak me out.

IT and Poltergeist. The clowns! AHHH!

The scene on Salem's Lot with the window, scratching on it! *shudder*. Amazing the stuff without any gore can be the most chilling.

When I was REALLY little, Wizard of Oz (the witch and flying monkeys) scared me!! Took me a long time to be able to watch it without being scared of them.

ME TOO!!! My parents took me to the cinema when I was about 2 or 3 and I completely freaked out. He is hideous! I've never met anyone else who didn't like him!

JAWS - i live near the beach and haven't been the same since!
  • I love horror films and they don't really scare me but i will say that i got a tingle down my back and my hairs stood up on end when one of the girls in Paranormal Activity 2 got dragged down the stairs in to the cellar.

P.s If you love gory films watch the re imagining of the Evil Dead as it is awesome even if it is without the legendary chin.

    Oldboy :noway:

    Oldboy was awesome!
  • It, hellraiser, chucky, predator, and aliens, The Gate I think it is called. Little white demon things coming for those kids. Critters, night of the Lepus.( The one with the killer rabbits), Puppet master Those are old school scary movies, but as a kid it used to scare the crap out of me. I must have had horrible parents to let a small child watch those things:laugh: I watched The gate not to long ago and was like why don't they just step on those things or something. I think jaws scared me the most, because I live in SC and we go to the beach all the time and im scared to death of sharks.

It's scenes from movies that get me.
For example-the scene in the Exorcist when Regan runs down the stairs backwards on all fours.
The scene in House on haunted hill when the reporter sees the ghost standing at the corner through her camera, and then he rushes her.
The scene in the Ring when the the girl crawls out of the well and climbs through the TV set.
