    I saw Dawn of the Dead when I was eight years old and I kid you not, had zombie nightmares at least once a week until I read the Zombie Survival Guide at age 35. Suddenly zombies seemed like a manageable problem to my subconscious, I guess.

    The 3rd Poltergeist movie with all the mirrors., especially the scene where the uncle is looking in the mirror fixing his bow tie and when he turns around his reflection is still looking back at him ((shudder))

    Most recently has been Machine Gun Preacher. The image of those children who were killed and threw into a pile to burn just breaks my heart! It bothers me knowing that this does happen in some parts of the world.

    The Incredible Shrinking Man is a 1957 science fiction film that scared the hell out of me when I saw it as a little girl in the sixties. I had numerous nightmares about it!
    According to Wikipedia, in 2009 it was named to the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically or aesthetically” significant and will be preserved for all time.

    The Birds and The Fly were pretty scary too...

    The A Nightmare On Elm Street movies because as a kid my cousins would always randomly yell out that Freddy was behind a tree or somewhere in the pitch dark areas while we were playing outside at night. They would outrun me & lock me outside.

    I love the Hellraiser movies but the first time I seen Hellraiser I was pretty freaked out, especially the ripping apart of Frank. I still think it's a freaky scene. There are multiple death scenes in the series that are freaky.

    The Faces of Death movies kind of got to me while watching them.

    I agree with you on that Poltergeist movie. Wtf was that freaky s**t! It was pure craziness! Scared the crap out of me. I believe the casting director was thinking, "I've got it! Let's find all of the people we can who scare the hell out of people just by their appearance in normal life, but then we'll also put them in horror makeup and make them do extremely demented and disturbing things." Well that plan worked! Lol.

    Yeah i'll agree with this, I've watched all of them and they creep me out. I don't know why I suppose it's just imagining yourself in that situation, particularly the first one. And there's something about the voyeuristic nature of the way you see a lot of the action. Yuck....

    Zoo. It's a film/documentary about 'a family man who met his untimely end after an unusual encounter with a horse '.

    Don't watch it if you ever want to be able to look at a horse again without feeling very uncomfortable. Truly bizarre stuff.

    The only truly horror movie I have ever seen was "Mother's Day". It freaked me out so badly I could barely walk. Then as we left the theater, it thundered loudly. I didn't sleep well for a week. I don' t even like some of the scenes on TV anymore! My daughter calls me a woos!
