    Love this reply!

This maybe will be upsetting to some, but I hope it's a wake-up call for those who are misled: there is no such a thing as big-boned figure. Bones are the same size. Knowing and facing the problem is part of the solution for it.

That's not really true, you know.

I don't need a wake-up call. I'm not "misled". I'm 5'9" - 136 lbs - 20% body fat, so I don't have anything 'problems to face' or solutions I need to seek. The fact of the matter is - most of my bones are larger, broader and heavier than the average woman of my height. This has been determined in an athletic performance lab by a medical professional.

My rib cage is much broader than the average woman. If you measure the bone from the inside point of my clavicle to the point it joins my shoulder joint, that bone is way longer than an average woman of my height. The breadth of bones that determine my shoulder width is wider than the average man of my height. I've also had a bone scan, and my bones are denser/heavier than an average woman. Ironically, I have tiny wrists and ankles - much smaller than the average for my height. I always say I have a mixed frame size.

There are absolutely variations in bone size and bone density. While these variations are no excuse for carrying extra body fat, the variations still exist. Bones are NOT 'the same size'.

Fell off the MFP wagon for a few months and gained an extra 5lbs on top of my initial starting weight, so I am now carrying 180lbs on my 5'10 frame. Aiming to lose 30lbs. Love these inspirational pics!

I'm 5'9" with a medium frame. I weigh 145 (give or take a few pounds, I fluctuate quite a bit). I wear a size 6 in most clothing labels. I've maintained this weight for about 14 years now. Was a size 16+ a long time ago. I have numerous pictures in my profile. One before pic and lots of after pictures. Good luck ladies! I love being tall and rockin some sexy heels

wow - I have a similar body type as you and you look fabulous!!! my ideal goal weight would be around 145 toned :)

    I'm 5'9. This was me (200 lbs) before: http://www.mybodygallery.com/photos-30158-body-shape.htm?StartAt=27#.UuFvDLQo6M9

You are in luck, as I just did a before/during photo & thread last night. Haha.

I'm 5'10 and have a very solid frame! I am still kicking myself for not doing a 'proper' before pic - I was just too insecure! I do have a photo from that time and have paired it with a recent one of me in a similar pose (and the same coat! Haha), holding my daughter. The Before is this January at 272 lbs and my then 15mo - the During was 2.5 weeks ago with my now 2yo and I'm about 191 in that pic. :)

I am loving all these pictures, ladies! Keep up the good work! I know how hard it is to be tall AND big! We can do it!
And I personally have been so jealous of shorter ladies who can lose a smaller amount and have it be really visible. I lost 50lbs and ppl barely noticed! It's the last 30lbs that ppl have commented... like, seriously?! hahah

You look 15 years younger in your after picture. Way to go!
