I'm 5'7" so I might be a little short for y'all but I'm joining in anyway

I'm 5"11, starting weight 324.8 a year ago! Currently 246.9, goal weight 195? Not sure just taking it day by day27 -
I'm 5"9 and hit my heaviest in December 2016. I haven't had a weigh in since July 22, 2017 so my stats are slightly off. I weigh in Monday (we don't keep a scale in the house so I only weigh in on visits to my parents' house). My current goal is to be under 200lbs by January 2018, 71lbs in a year felt like a reasonable first goal. After that, I have no idea what goal weight I'll be shooting for, or what my body will even look like.
Aside from non-scale victories, I also ran my first 5K race on August 26, 2017 and I'm currently in training for my next big goal - a 10K race on November 4, 2017.
Stats:
SW: 270lbs
CW: 229.7lbs
GW: 199lbs, then more!

I decided to just go cold turkey and start eating clean. Today was Day One. Feeling great about this decision, but it's late at night and to prepare mentally for tomorrow, I Googled "Before/After Photos" for my height. Ended up here...then I read one of my own earlier posts in this thread and realized I have been here before! Surge of enthusiasm and confidence to see all your lovely photos and read the stories. I'm baack, baby!
Height: 5'8.5" -- Age 52
SW: 176.4 (yesterday morning)
GW: 150 or less - not sure yet
26.4 lbs HAS to be doable. What so many of you have done inspires me SO much. It seems insurmountable, but it just HAS to be possible. Thank you to all posters here.6 -

So I'm 5' 8" and SW 178. Based on my height I should be around 155-160 lbs. I've been to 160lbs and feel 155 would be too thin for me. Right now I just want to feel comfortable in my skin. I look forward to hearing about your journey.3 -
I can't find a before pic at the moment. This is from last week. I'm 5'11.5"
SW: around 190
CW: 166
GW: ~150

Lol - posted this as a Halloween costume success story but I’ll add it here, too, cuz I am starting to feel like Wonder Woman! (We all are - we can totally do this!)
40 years old, 5’9” and a “smidge”
SW: 284
CW: 171ish (middle pic was about 184-ish, I think)
GW: 155ish - depends on how I can change with lifting.
Been “stuck” a bit (of my own making) cause work/travel has been crazy and my logging/tracking haven’t been precise but apparently I found my maintenance! But after this week I am back home for the foreseeable future so I will get back at it. Slow and steady wins the race and I know what I have to do!!

This is an absolutely false statement. (yes, I'm just now seeing this) but this is in itself misleading. As someone who is 5'10, and used to weigh 135. I played sports and was in fantastic shape. My smallest pants size was a 10 and my rib cage was too wide to fit into a medium shirt, even though I was on the lowest end of the weight scale and had a BMI of 14. So don't spread false rumors.

Same situation here. At my lowest 158 I was size 10 and I looked skinny and at my 222lbs I was size 14. I don't think I can get any smaller then size10.iam 5'11

135lb and 5'10 isn't a BMI of 14. It's 19.4. Well within the healthy range. How many years ago were you 135lbs? There may be a "vanity sizing" situation going on. I'm 5'11, 144lbs (BMI of 20) and large framed myself, but I wear a size 6 currently. But I do have 10's from HS that still fit. That was about 20 years ago...1 -
Watching this thread. I am 5'10ish. SW 267.8 CW 157.8 and GW is around 170 (maybe). Keep up the awesome work ladies!1

This IS an odd statement. Just looking at the human beings around you, you can see there are differences in frame size. I'm 5'8 and 165 lbs (overweight on the BMI chart). I was upset that after a 135 lb loss I could not lose any more--just hit a brick wall. But everyone kept telling me to stop losing weight, that I looked too thin. (BUT I'm overweight on that damn chart!!) Finally had a dr. look at me, he checked out several places on my body and he said I had no more fat on me. He said if I try to lose more it will be very difficult to do and impossible to maintain, it won't be fat I'm losing, I will start looking anorexic, AND I have a large frame.
As an aside, I had an echocardiogram recently. The tech was having problems getting a good angle to reach my heart. I asked her what the problem was, 'cause I got no boobs left to get in the way since losing weight. She said she had never seen anyone with such a thick sternum before (sexier words were never spoken ) So not only do bones come in different lengths, but different thicknesses too.
(ETA: Not that it really means much because of vanity sizing, but just as a comparison to what others posted, I'm a 6/8 in tops and 8/10 in pants.)

@jelizabeth713 I thought I was 5'8" until I was in my 20's. After that two different doctors told me I was 5'7 1/2" and I said, "OK so basically 5'8" " and they were ADAMANT that I was NOT 5'8". Ok Ok!!2 -
160lbs down to 130lbs (73kg to 59kg), I'm 5'8" (or like others, I was, now I'm a smidge under - 171cm to be exact). Age 38 in first photo, 43 now. When I started MFP, I quickly dropped to 68kg then got pregnant. After my daughter was born I soon got down to 65kg, and then around two years ago dropped to 62kg. I was maintaining for a year but noticed my weight had crept up to 64kg at the beginning of this year so have very slowly worked my way down to 59. I'm done losing now as I'm very happy where I am - totally stoked to be honest!32 -
I am 5"9.5'and pretty muscular. Right now I am wearing a size 10 US sizing and 14 UK sizing and 176 lb, but when I started 3 months ago I was a 14 US and I weighed 209.10

Wawou are you sure there's only 8 pounds between the 2 pictures? What program did you follow? For how long?1 -
No, sorry. Most of my progress pics were lost. The before pic is actually after 3 weeks and 8lbs from when I started actively trying to lose weight. The stats were in the post above, the picture just didn't post right for some reason.1
