And I became the first person (and only) person to ever finish the 24" pizza yesterday in a competition  It was TOUGH!

I got chicken and sundried tomatoes (not the greatest choice for a comp in hindsight)

time lapse vid. 45mins into 90secs. I think the last slice took as long as the first half!

Morning snack was 2% Fage greek yogurt mixed with pumpkin purée, cinnamon and honey. Yummy.

Lunch today was this mildly spicy chicken tortilla soup and a good portion of this massive salad (mixed greens, grilled chicken, brocolli, cauliflower, onions, red bell pepper, artichoke hearts, greek olives, raisins, mushrooms, beets, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, parmasean cheese, celery).

Went to a cooking class at Sorrentino's with my coworkers for a team building event. We made:
    • Appetizer- Fresh tomato and artichoke bruschetta
    • Salad - Panzanella Salad with Tomato, Roasted Peppers, Capers and Olives
    • Protein - Filet of Salmon with pan roasted fennel and spicy chive whipped cream
    • Starch - Risotto with Parmesan and Lemon
    • Dessert - Dark chocolate fondue with cookies and fruit

Forgot to take a picture of all the other courses, but here was the main dish:

Tonight's dinner; I'm in a veggie kind of mood. Total of 600 cals which includes 2 glasses of brut cuvee. Everything was spritzed with oil spray and will be grilled. Celebrating the completion of 2 very big desserts that I will contribute to Thanksgiving tomorrow; Bacardi Rum Cake and a Salted Caramel Cheesecake!

Italian sausage, chicken and shrimp with penne in a spicy tomato sauce.
Poutine- tiger shrimp, Italian sausage and chicken with onions and peppers in a creamy Cajun sauce with cheese curds
    Mac and cheese balls
Burger highlights: two patties, onion rings and fried egg. Every artery clogging bite was delicious.

A 14 pound whole turkey and an 8 pound turkey breast...put them on the smoker at 2:30 AM. Should be ready in about 3 more hours. Smells incredible. Using pecan for smoke. Used a sage, rosemary, and thyme brine prior to smoking.

My Dad and I went to a restaurant called Seasons 52 for our Thanksgiving meal today. It was our first time there, and it was really nice.

We started with some rosemary rolls with pumpkin butter. I'm not usually fond of the flavored butters, but that stuff was soooo good!

    yhdhs9w7ovi8.jpg

The meal was really yummy. I made it through half the plate before I cried mercy and had them box up the rest. Turkey (white and dark meat), mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh green beans, sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce.

    4ceka1bv4psl.jpg

Their desserts were deconstructed variations on standard desserts. They brought us a plate of about 15 different deconstructed desserts to choose from. I had the deconstructed cannoli and Dad had the deconstructed pumpkin pie. They were both good, but we decided we prefer a little construction in our desserts. ;)

I hope you all have had a lovely Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey breast, mashed taters/gravy, green bean casserole from scratch (no canned soup), candied Yams, Sage and Sausage stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

Not pictured.. pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

...and can't move. So freaking full.

    ^^ Yum!

Tonight I scrambled 2 eggs with chopped turkey, a mini portobello mushroom, and roasted veggies (brussel sprouts, carrots and little red potatoes); cherry tomatoes; fruit salad (pineapple, cherries, raspberries, banana, pecans, coconut, yogurt).
