- Men that stink like **** from 20-feet away.
- Women in makeup and perfume
- starting a deadlift from a standing position and bouncing it off the floor to get back up.
- quarter squats
- shoulder press (standing, seated, or machine) where they push the weight overhead and then do like a 1/5th of a rep and push back up.
- most people's power clean form is god-awful0 -
Girls who come to the gym with their hair all done up and their makeup caked on. Are you here to get in shape or for a photoshoot?
Unless you actually know them you're judgement is baseless. Not everyone has time to change before going to the gym. They could be coming from work, meetings etc where they needed/wanted to look good.
And even if they are dressing up just for the gym, who cares? If it makes them feel better about themselves what harm. It's not affecting anyone but themselves.0 -
Some girl in my Body Pump class was wearing a tube top and her boob popped out during "clean and press'. That was pretty funny. She screamed too, so of course everyone looked.
I'm the only guy in class....
Well, she got what she wanted. Everyone checking her out...0 -
To my last post, speaking of parking spots, my gym has a TON of parking...if you want to take a little walk. But no, people continue to place there cars where THERE ARE NO SPOTS!!! Making it nearly impossible for those in legitimate spots to pull out easily. YOU'RE AT A GYM, CONSIDER THE WALK TO THE FRONT DOOR YOUR WARM UP!!!
OH!!! And I can say this b/c I shamefully used to do it in college, but what's with the people who leave, and LIGHT UP A CIGARETTE??? Irony at it's finest!!!!0 -

I don't go to the gym anymore because I now have my own gym equipment in my basement but when I used to go to the YMCA,
the only thing that stands out to me was the one time a guy came in and walked on the treadmill in a dress shirt and jeans with a belt and his cell phone clipped to it in a holster. I give him props for getting in his workout...but WTF??? Who works out in jeans????0 -

Oops...posted too soon.
The the point of the OP, I think they meant the ones who come INTENTIONALLY to look good. I always have makeup on at the gym b/c I go after work. However, I saw a girl there once with enormous, gold hoop earrings, full makeup and her hair down like it had been done. Now, anyone with hair past their ears knows there's nothing worse or uncomfortable than sweat soaked hair on your neck. If you're there to WORK, logic dictates you put it up. PS, she was totally useless (on her phone using the elliptical for 5 minutes), then I found her chillin in the locker room on her phone, snapping gum talking about her workout with whoever on the phone. IS THIS REAL LIFE????!!!!0 -
Last week at spin class, the man in front of me was in a full body leotard and black leather knee high boots....not sure how I made it out there without laughing. Then, I heard he was in blue last night...like a Smurf....0

LOL my boyfriend worked out in dress shoes once b/c he forgot his sneaks. I was embarrassed FOR him!! Gotta admire that dedication, though!0 -
Theres another guy that takes his shoes off in the free weight area.. Talk about disaster waiting to happen.
I always deadlift and squat barefooted. Why is that a disaster waiting to happen?0 -
The guy who does these like... Upside down tricep dips on the dip bar at my gym. It's kind of amazing but wtf?
The girl who came in the other day, ellipticaled for literally 5 minutes and spent an hour chatting to the dude bros on the weight floor. Obvious c0ck trawler is obvious
They are the WORST!! But they get what they deserve...any dedicated, gym going, respectable guy sees that and laughs at it. I'm more jealous of the girl who works hard with the great body in sweatpants than the twits with their matching "outfits" and makeup on! My boyfriend and I go to the same gym, and I know what catches his eye, and that ain't it!0 -
The entire month of January.
Haha..Understatment0 -
My morning rant. Why the F... Would a trainer put someone onto a smith machine to do dead lifts when there is a perfectly good Olympic bar just sitting there. Then to make matters worse she had her doing alternate grips and no the trainee was not lifting huge weights. At the most 30lbs.
This will sound dumb, but what is a smith machine?0 -
