    All the dogs.

Seriously I have yet to meet a breed of dog that I dislike. There are some that I am less of a fan of but I still love them.

Currently I have a Chihuahua and I lover her to bits and as she gets older she gets funnier and funnier - I got her as I couldn't get a bigger dog at the time due to renting (my landlord said yes to the dog as long as it wasn't massive), so we got the Mexican Kitty. She is sweet and easy to look after doesn't require a huge yard (I have one anyways). I now own my own house and there is talks in the house about a St. Bernard, my housemates are still trying to convince me its a good idea - I am not totally sold on it as of yet.

I am a lab lover. Although, I have always wanted a boxer. Then again....I grew up having muts! I really don't care just as long as they are cute and cuddly. They have to be large breeds though, I want a lot to cuddle with.

    Pit Bull.

Yeah, I know they have a bad wrap, but I've had 5, and not a one of them was ever violent and not one ever bit someone else. They are loyal, protective, and so damn ugly they're cute.

Is he deaf? My two white rescues are both deaf.

GSD! German Shepherd, shutzhund bred-nonconforming rejects. Their hearts are not diminished.

They have great physical structure (so no hip dyplasia, etc)--but rejects may be to small or too big for acceptable standards or have a coat that is too long. They are very trainable--but rejects may be gun shy--and hence not a fan of 4th July fireworks.

Best of All, i am in love with the way GSDs look at their families; they so much want to be a warm fuzzy part of the whole household (other pets included), your neighborhood--however large your intimate circle extends.

This was Copper, our too long hair, gun-shy female in her old age, but still loving family summer vacations.

This is Zappa, our nearly 11y rescue celebrating his 1yr adoption anniversary.

So we just picked out a new puppy to add to our family. We are die-hard boxer people. They're cute, affectionate, loyal and goofy as hell.

What's your favorite breed and why?

Have to agree, I have a boxer mix and she is the best dog ever

i am very biased towards my fur baby. he's an English Setter. he's just awesome. smart and cute and just SO MUCH love.

but i think that John O'Hurley said it best at the National Dog Show:

    The Perfect Dog

My son asked a question as little boys do
Of me in my wisdom and all that I knew.

“Is there a dog that is perfect?” he asked on a whim,
Well, I thought and I thought about where to begin.

“He’d have ears that were floppy… or cropped and alert
And eyes that were sleepy… or perky and pert,
He’d leap like a bunny or sit in your lap
And run fast as horses… or opt for a nap.

“A dog that is perfect would be covered in spots
Or maybe one-color … and then have spots-not.

“He’d be small as a teacup… or big as a house,
With a nose that seemed flattened … or long like a mouse,

“He’d swim and he’d hunt with a coat flying free
Or be dainty and delicate … and ‘He’d’ be a ‘She’

As I struggled to answer, and not with a clue,
My son, with a smile, said, out of the blue,
With the wisdom of children, what he already knew…

The dog that is perfect … is the one next to you.

    Husky.

I have a 2 year old Husky and she is amazing! very calm, loyal and very well mannered. I think a lot of that comes from her being a rescue too.
