Ok, so talk about being upset!....This week I know I shouldn't even bother weighing in because the weight gain is inevitable and there is nothing I can do about it but geez! I am so bloated and have so much water retention! I have actually gained 4 lbs. this time. To top it off, my treadmill broke this weekend and I have only been able to run 1 time in the past 3 days. I may be up a pound due to that but the other 3 pounds are because of the wonders of being a woman! HA! I get so frustrated every month during my cycle. Anyone else feel the same way or have the same problem?
If I don't get someone in here soon to fix my treadmill I will go crazy. Unfortunately I can't run outside 2 days during the week due to having a young child home; kindergarten here is only 2 1/2 days. The other problem is that it's supposed to rain from Wednesday on! UGH!!! I feel so frustrated!!!0 -
I'm also expecting what I call "Alice" (a term that caught on during college) and day now. Well, I got on the scale this morning before the workout and suppose it won't go down anymore after that so my scale said 169. Which is great! Since my scale hasn't budged since Easter. And I'm down into another number! Yipee! Hopefully it will stay there!0

Hey, I'm new and this looks like a good challenge for me.
Weight last monday: 182.6
Weight today: 180.6
Goals: 175 by May 17 (my college graduation ceremony), 150 by September 1st. I may be happy at 150, may want to lose a bit more- I'll see when I get there.
I'm pretty sure some of that is water weight, but I'll take it :happy:
I've been doing pilates based workouts for the past few weeks and I'm seeing some nice improvements in my stomach area, but I wish I could force my body to lose from the legs instead, haha. This week my goal is to do at least 3 45-min cardio sessions and work on my arm and leg muscles more.0 -

Ok...OK...I wasn't going to get on the scale due to that witch "alice" but I like torture myself. I am up 3lbs. 178. I hope that when Alice leaves she takes all of them with her but for now.....+3. :sad:

Today is a weigh in day for me at the gym. Im a little scared because at the end of last week i was down three...but now its time for Alice and I dont want to know!!0

hi there Everyone!!! -- I am officially 25lbs lighter today and feelling GREEAAATTT!!!!!!!!!!
It's been crazy busy this week with work and family - haven't been on the site very much at all!!!
Did manage to lose quite a bit of weight though - (not sure how, but I'll take it)!
Last week - 189.4
This week - 186
Total weight lose this week is 3.4lbs --- ya yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayay
My goal this week is to lose 2lbs - and I am sooo looking forward to getting into the 170's!!

We haven't heard from some people who started with us on March 16th, so I removed them from the list. I hope they are still going or find another thread to keep motivated!
This week, let's do legs! How about squats and lunges. Try and add 20-30 squats, and 10 lunges each leg into your daily workouts.
I think Patricia is the biggest loser this week! 3 pounds gone, and since 3/16 8.6 pounds gone!

Well, tomorrow is my weigh in day at the gym. A litte scared after last week :sad: , but I am proud to say that I have not had a Coke, my major hangup, in one full week!!! :bigsmile: That is the one thing that I have struggled with during "my whole weight loss life". If I don't loss, I will still have the satisfaction of knowing, that is at least 2400 calories this week that I haven't had. We will see and post tomorrow.

Ok, I have weighed and measured, my weight was 181 last week and this week I was 180 lb, I have lost an inch in my waist, hips and thighs. So all in all I have made progress this week. I have no clue where the 3 extra pounds came from last week but at least one of them are gone!:flowerforyou:

I just wanted to jot down a note to all of you.
I had no idea that this site would help me in the emotional (and of course physical) ways that it has.
Back in October i decided to start tackling the weight i had put on since college (About 30 lbs since 05) And still I was waking up dreading the closet because I could no longer fit in to more than half of my wardrobe. I cried about 25 percent of those morning to my fiancees dismay. (thank you high school anorexia for screwing up my whole perception on food!)
Lo and behold! Mfp came up while i was searching calories in certain foods, and i decided right there to join up. I have been addicted since day one...and in the last week and a half i have lost close to 4 pounds, more than i ever saw before i stumbled across this site.
On that very first day, 2 thursdays ago, I joined this group, and check in with it daily to keep myself motivated and aware that I can do it, if i just pay attention!! The biggest plus is that it helps me do it in healthy ways , because now I know that i had trained my body to loose weight the wrong way by starving it.. and it feels so much better just to eat and loose weight too!

I forgot to weigh-in this morning. Which doesn't surprise me because I have been telling everyone at work that it doesn't feel like a (you see, I was going to type Wednesday) Monday to me.
As of 9:22pm...(even though I weigh in in the mornings) I am 172.3 - which is broken even to when I started this thing back in December.
I should measure my toushy... but I gave my mom the measuring tape thing and I got another one for free somewhere but I think I gave it to someone. crapola.0 -

I was down a pound a week or so to the 185 (: I just couldn't get near a scale in the middle!0 -
My goal is to get back down to 150, unless I start being able to work out, in which case 165 or so was a great weight for me. (I carry a lot of muscle lol)0

I know when my Granny, yeah I am from Georgia, passed away in September, it was very hard to stay focused, but lost it over the holidays, her birthday was Christmas day, so there it went and a very very short month later, I had gained the 20 pounds I had worked so hard to loose. You will be in my prayers for God to comfort you and your family in your time of grieving. Hand in there, time does numb the pain (some) and you will get back on track but until you do, we are here for you!:flowerforyou:
