This would be a lot more interesting if you spent a few days eating whatever you felt like eating, making sure to hit your macros, and seeing how it turns out.

Instead of eating nothing but pizza.

the problem is that you can't possibly fathom that i usually do eat what i feel like eating, and that what i feel like eating is usually clean food

Or at least ordered a pizza the way normal people eat pizza. You know, with toppings they actually enjoy. The man likes veggies.....but orders no veggies on his pizza. Then complains about not hitting his micros.

    What a joke.

    ??

i love hawaiian pizza. what's wrong with that?

and no, most people don't get veggies on their pizza. should we make a thread about that?

42% choose pepperoni on their pizza.

green peppers, onions and olives combined only make 8% in the informal poll.

    what a joke

Recurring thought while reading through this thread: Huh?

I honestly struggled to keep up with the salient points of the arguments in this thread. They seemed to change way too often.

you could always make a home made pizza..that is always my personal preference then you can just throw on fresh vegetables etc and it would be "cleaner" and you could throw fresh pineapple on it...

or you could just throw the dominos in the washer machine and clean it...

In all seriousness, I think you might be taking your experiment to the extreme. I have not sees anyone advocating that you can eat dominos all day, everyday (or other crap for that matter) and just because it fits your macros it is OK ....maybe I am not here enough and people are advocating that...IDK ...

The more reasoned approach that I see people saying is that it is OK to mix in some not so clean foods IE pop tarts and ice cream, and it will not destroy your gains...

Most people don't eat only pizza and then come on the internet to whine about not hitting their micros, do they? And if they are so concerned about their micros, they adjust the pizza accordingly. Personally, I want deep dish sausage pizza that I have shipped from Chicago. Since that blows my macros out of the water, I get thin crust pizza with grilled chicken and tomatoes. It's not the same as my preference, but I get the pizza fix and I'm easily able to hit both my macro and micro targets.

But then, that would be too reasonable to fit your all or nothing approach, wouldn't it?

Actually read the whole thing. Too much nonsense. I will offer this up. I easily hit all micro needs daily while still eating a couple pop tarts, pint of ice cream, & 5 cups of cereal daily (plus other stuff I want). Diary's open as usual.

    Couple notes:

Wednesday I was at an all day, 12 hour, work event so that day's a bit off. Only fiber & calcium though.

I'm currently cutting & ~3250 daily so it's not my normal 4,000 calories of deliciousness.

I prefer cheese, onions and green olives over anything with sausage and pepperoni. But, I AM curious about something: Aren't you gluten free? I remember reading about that. Which, if you are, makes the pizza discussion a moot point.

I am gluten free and don't eat regular pizza at all. And comparing GF pizza to regular pizza is comparing apples to oranges, isn't it?

All I gotta say is you must be trippin! You should do an eat pizza every day fir 2 months diet & see where that takes you, maybe throw in some McDonald's breakfast as well. LOL. You can't come to any reasonable conclusions with this mini experiment that hasn't even had enough time and lack of proper research put into it. But I guess if you aren't striving for any specific health goal than as long as you get adequate exercise you would maybe be borderline ok. There was a show on tv about some guy who only ate pizza literally fir many years, that's all he would eat , it messed him up in the long run serious health problems. As for your macros.. ofcourse it matters. How are you going to sustain healthy muscle structure without protein, and some people actually have a tollerance for certain things like sodium due to have been subjected to it all their life like islanders, I easily eat 5000+ mg sodium a day and I don't retain water , I don't have high blood pressure, and its because I'm always in the ocean like 6 hours a day 4-5 days a week, and being from Hawaii soy sauce on everything. Everyone I know and was raised with in Hawaii has a crazy high sodium intake. There is just to many variables to deal with that your experiment and what this topic , in fact I don't know why I'm even replying LOL

For real, I started reading this thread and realized I had most of a pizza left over in the refrigerator. I have now eaten a couple slices for breakfast.

I follow the IIFYM idea and most of my foods are probably clean by any/most standards though it's hard to get a great definition of what is clean. I hit my micros/macros 9 out of 10 days but I still eat pizza occasionally and gelato if I feel like it and have the calories and have hit my macros.
