  • Thank you so much for posting this recipe. I have been craving pancakes for quite some time but could never find a healthy recipe. They look fantastic! I believe I will try to make these with wheat flour instead of all-purpose. It may work or it may not. One can only try!

Gotta try these... not sure I'll get the healthy ones past my husband though! LOL My son would probably love these too! Esp if I use chocolate whey powder.

Have you experimented with the whole egg versus just the white? Was wondering if it made a difference in flavor or consistency. I see no reason to waste a perfectly good yolk :)

I've wondered the same thing actually, but haven't experimented. I think it would just make the batter a little thinner. Definitely worth a try :)
I read somewhere that to make greek style yogurt from your regular plain yogurt, strain the yogurt in cheese-cloth lined strainer in a bowl overnight (in refigerator). The extra fluid just separates and drains off.

  • I bought a Vitamix 5200 Deluxe - Complete Kitchen, so I use the Dry Grains Container to grind up oats.

I haven't used flour in years. Sometimes, I mix Steel Cut Oats, and sometimes, just plain oats.

That 43g per serving looks really high... what brand powder and yogurt? Or is that 43g for the whole recipe?

My powder is only 25g for a single scoop, let alone 2/3.
    6 oz. yogurt = 14g

It's 43g for the whole recipe... the whole recipe IS one serving :P

The powder I used was 30g a scoop, so 20g went into the recipe. Plus 17g from the yogurt I used (walmart brand plain greek yogurt) is 37g. 3g from the egg white, and 3g from the flour. 43g! :)

314 calories and 43g of protein for all those pancakes!!! thats amazing... I definately want to try these out..

You sold me at "the whole recipe IS ONE SERVING"! Will be trying this weekend . . . .
