Great posts---we are so lucky to have these "bad" things to celebrate.
My engagement ring is so loose---I keep putting off re-sizing it--what size do I go to?
    This is a good problem.

Just into the healthy eating and work out program (week 3) and the bad things I have noticed is:
I can't use my fibromyalgia pain as a complaint not to do things.
I have to go buy a belt so my pants don't fall off
    I can't sleep in anymore
I am excelling at my Wing Chun, thank you Sifu.
I can't take breaks going up the stairs for work, so now I get things done faster and back to the office sooner, darn.

    1. Can't sit on hard chairs for long, need padding.
    2. Frito Lay is stalking me and have wrote me several letters asking where I am and if I'm ok
    3. I no longer hear applause when I run :( (my thighs stopped clapping for me)
    4. The money I spend on Frito Lay has been rerouted to GNC
    5. A homeless guy offered to buy me a hot meal
    6. The family dog now has muscles
    7. I get confused to be my sons older sister
    8. I am a calorie savant - I unconciously watch people at the food court and know how many calories they are eating without even looking it up
    9. The heavy handed mayo/double meat guy at Subway hates me...I'm always turning him down

I have seen your posts before on the forums, you are a funny person! :flowerforyou:

While getting in shape is great, it's not without it's downside. With tongue planted firmly in cheek, I present my list of the top "bad" things that have happened since I began getting fit:

    1. I need to buy a new wardrobe - my clothes are too big!

What are some of the "bad" things that you've noticed?

That's why I kept for years all my clothes from when I was 40-60 lbs lighter! It is such a joy to go shopping in my closet.

I so did the same thing!!

    1. I can't steal hubby's clothes anymore. They are too big
    2. I have to help unload feed because everyone has seen me lifting weights heavier than the feed bags.
    3. I have to saddle my own horse. (Weight thing again.)
    4. Local clothing bank knows me by name.
    5. I swap clothing with my 14 year old niece.
    6. My dog is too tired to play with me as long as I would like.
    7. I hiked up a steep hill this weekend without stopping and left everyone else halfway up and had to wait on them.
    8. My TV went out and I hardly noticed.
    9. I need a softer mattress after insisting we buy the extra firm one years ago.
    10. Gardening has become fun and I actually eat the vegetables thus taking up all my spare time.
    11. My too small car seems to have grown.

I could go on and on...

    1. I need to buy a new wardrobe - my clothes are too big!
    2. I'm an introvert, and am embarrassed by the compliments I receive regarding how my appearance has changed.
    3. Exercise has made my "bum knee" stronger so I can't use it to get out of heavy labor any more.
    4. My stamina has increased, so when my daughter wants to play, I can't use the "daddy's too tired" excuse any more.
    5. I am no longer too heavy for my household ladder's rating, so I have to get to all those high up chores now.
    6. I have more energy, so I don't get to sleep in as much (I wake up early and full of energy...)
    7. I'm hurting the economy because I use less soap when I shower.
    8. #7 again, but this time because I no longer need BP meds.
    9. I need to get my wedding ring re-sized so it won't fall off my finger.
    10. When I catch my reflection out of the corner of my eye, I have no idea who it is.

What are some of the "bad" things that you've noticed?

    I love this!

The clothes thing for sure, I've wasted so much on clothes that end up not fitting later on.

I've bought new jeans a few times & only got to wear them a few times before they got too big
It sometimes gets old having to tell a lot of people how I am losing weight

    1. Random strangers ask me about my BodyMedia and what it does. I am not used to attention.
    2. My boyfriend randomy compliments me which instantly makes me blush.
    3. My mom, two brothers and uncle have all joined MFP. They instantly give me a hard time if i eat out too frequently since I'm supposed to be saving money.

I just flew back from a business trip so here is mine and I am so happy.

    1. Didn't scare people on the plane when they saw me coming down the aisle. They used to be afraid I would sit next to them and take up all the same.
    2. I'm putting some poor cabby out of business since I walked from the hotel to the conference center, dinner, etc.
    3. Did get to meet new people in the elevator at Reagan National Metro stop due to the escalator being broken, just walked up the broken escalator.
    4. Had to buy new sneakers since I've worn out the old ones in the past four months.

For bad things, I am really in a good mood.

I cannot wait until my trip to Hawaii comes. I want to see how I sit in the seat being almost 80-90 pounds lighter than last time I flew.

When I lay on my side with my legs on top of each other, my knees start to hurt because there is much less fat padding the bones.. Weird, I know..

    I hate that too.

Wow. Looks like I started something...

It also looks like I have a lot more to "fear" such as being cold without my insulation, being a little more comfortable on airplanes, and saving some gas by not hauling around 60 extra lbs.

I also wonder if I'll have to do more work when I swim due to the loss of my built-in flotation device.

Thanks for all the great responses! This is very inspiring!

New wardrobe, I just bought new pants for the second time, and it looks like in a few months, it will be time to go get more pants for the third time.

No compliments really, except from mother, one of my neighbors, and grandma. The other neighbors act like they don't know what to say to me, or they think if they say something, my ego will just explode.

I still have a whole box of brownies, that have lasted me for 4 months now, instead of 2 weeks because I have to eat less of them.

My meals I cook for the week last longer, because I eat less.

McDonald's, Sonic, and Pizza Street are no longer getting my business, and this hurts the economy.

Happy hour and I are no longer married.

    This is a fantastic post!
Ah yes the bones, that's a problem they stick out everywhere and that 4" memory foam for the bed was pricey.
Then it's the constant bra replacement, I swear I need smaller ones with every 5lbs so I'm definitely not wearing them out.

All of these negatives bring one more, I can't stop smiling!

I'd rather have that, then nobody saying nothing about my weight loss, except my mother, friend, and grandma. Then I want to ask those that do not say anything, if they notice something different about me, but I just opt to not do it. Heck, I went to the doctor today, and I had to bring it to her attention, and it is not like I have only lost 7 pounds, this is 50 pounds we are talking about! I know I am at least considered skinny now, because one day my neighbor said, "Hey Ang, you look nice AND SKINNY!" And, that made my day, if nothing else, but I still would rather get people asking me what I am doing, meaning they notice me, then have nobody saying nothing, and you just wonder what is going on.
