Marie -- Sorry but I posted in the previous thread and I did leave you the url for lightenup. If you can't find it let me know and I will re-post it.

We have a birthday in June -- it is our Neil's birthday on the 12th and he is on day 14 of being his sweet self. No blow-ups when his brother was here tonight.

I'll keep looking for it and amybe I will find it. or if any of you see it send it to me. I remember you used a low fat muffin mix and it was just 1 pt. in WW.

I had a rought day yesterday. I had to collect a 24 hour urine and I did not have to go very much, Thought my Kidnies was shutting dow.. the die they used on me in the hospital could damage my kidnies mor than they are already damage. I drink a big glass of water and was going all night.Thank goodness.

I think it is time to let one of you take over here I had a terrible time last night with this computor and me. This is your thread and you all make the decison. Sandy has done a terrific job for me.

My goal for this month is to do the best I can, Be it 1 lb or 5 lbs. I would really like to reach 22 on my ticker. That means 5 lbs . so I guess that is my goal. 5 lbs.

    Brownie Muffins

1 Pkg. Low Fat Brownie Mix
    3 cups All Bran Cereal
    1+1/2 cups Water
    1+1/2 tsp. Baking powder

Combine the water and the All Bran. Let sit for a few minutes. Then add the mix and B. powder. Mix together.
Put in regular size muffin pans.
    Bake 20-25 min. at 350 F.

Makes 24 muffins (very small) for 1 & 1/2 point
    or 18 for 2 points
or 12 good sized muffins for 3 points each!
    Enjoy!

I will look for the banana recipe but right now I better have some breakfast! It made me hungry. Gayla

Greetings all...and greeting to a new month! I did not reach my goal of losing 2 lbs last month but will try again this month. I am happy I didn't gain because I was somewhat naughty a few times :blushing:

I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I am so preoccupied with the "stuff" going on in my life that I'm grateful I still have the mindset to post and to track everyday!:flowerforyou:

Yesterday we went to the beach, and it was the first time since I lost weight. I really don't like wearing a bathing suit but wore shorts and a spaghetti strap tank:blushing: . It's the first time, in a long time, that I was comfortable being there and felt somewhat like I blended in with the "not overweight" people.:flowerforyou: I was grateful for that experience and when I saw someone overweight I said, "But for the grace of God, there go I". I pray that everyone struggling finds this site, as it has been such a godsend to me!
Here's to lean summer days and a feeling of wellness and wellbeing...for all.

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend. Mine was fine except for the rain we had after the parade, it ruined the service for the Vets and since it was lightning I went home. My husband and I had a restful day together and it was really nice.

I have been slacking on my exercise except for walking Daisy so thank goodness for that. I hope to do my shred tomorrow, but will take it one day at a time. I am waiting for the three day rule before changing my ticker.

It has been another busy day and time to rest, so I will post more tomorrow.

    http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/Ww-1-Pt-Weight-Watcher-Muffins-253891

also a banana bread recipe I would like to try. The banana bread has too much salt but the 1 pt muffins seems to be just fine. I guess I can leave the salt out and used my no sodium baking powder. We will see.
    Thanks Marie

Marie -- So glad you found the recipe you were wanting. I hope you can make it work for you. We have to take Neil in to see the people who will make shoes for him tomorrow. He is excited but I know from past experience that it will be a long slow process. Hope he can be patient for a little while longer. He is so tired of his boot cast.

We surely enjoyed our sunshine today. I worked outside for about an hour and enjoyed being out there listening to the bird's sing. I expect there is a nest in the cherry tree but haven't spotted it yet.

Sandy -- enjoyed your pics. on Facebook. Your sons looked so handsome in their uniforms.

Take care all. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite, but if they do, beat them with your shoe. Gayla

    Good Morning Everyone!

Sorry for my absence! Day and had a very busy weekend. We got our flowers planted and the garden out. We went to spend Saturday with our mothers. Monday we worked out and had supper with our best friends. Yesterday we went to the casino, no luck.

Monday I ran about 10 miles! Pretty decent time. Yesterday it was a 3/4 mile swim and strength work out along with the ab workout. I have not decided what I am going to do today. It is stormy here so that will somewhat limit my outdoor choices.

Sam and Amanda are fine. Sam has returned to ISU to work for the summer. Amanda is off for the summer and leaving on a cruise Satuday. I wish we were!

Still looking for a job! What a mess it is here. But, hope springs eternal!

I hope all is well with everyone!

    Hi all,

It was good hearing fro you Marie. How are you doing Barb? Is Vancouver as rainy as "Sunny Sequim"? Played some golf yesterday and finally have started to put a couple of things together. I haven't gotten out much and when I have I've played the worst I have in years so it was good to see some results from the work I've been doing. I'll play tomorrow also.

The roses are starting to flower, I guess there really is a spring. We've been inundated by aphids and have used a lot of dirty tricks to get rid of them . The battle is going our way finally after my latest "Surge". Since we don't have acreage anymore I've fallen prey to the Topsy-Turvy planter. I did so with some skepticism, but I really like them so far. Stay safe and remember that water is your friend.

    Good hearing from you Jake.

is that the rose hedge you planted last year. I think they are so pretty. They have a lot of them in our parks around here. But haven't seen any at the nursery anywhere. I have a couple of topsy turby but the heat here is getting to them. The heat is gettinto all of our garden. The bell peppers plants still look good but they like the hot weather.
    Enjoy your golfing.
Well time to go fix supper.:flowerforyou: Marie

Hi everyone! Oh how I love this glorious sunshine! We are enjoying 68F. I bought all my plants, may need more but will get them in tomorrow and see what I need then. I have them all outside enjoying the sunshine. It is a WW night and I am thinking that the scale may go the wrong way after the birthday meal. We also have eaten out twice this week. I tried to be careful but I am not as good at sticking to the plan as the rest of the gang here are!! I will let you know either way.

Marie -- I hope the muffin recipe works for you. Odd that the url won't open the sight for you. I am able to get in there without problem. Your name is still there.

Barbie and Jake -- Hope you get some veg. from the topsy-turvy. My son bought one and I am interested to see how it does.

Jeffrey -- You are busy as usual.

Sandy -- Hope that job situation changes soon.

    Take care everyone. Gayla

    two of my sunflower seeds have started to germinate in spite of 50 degree temperatures......I am so excited
the picket fence and bird netting continue to keep the birds and cats away and the Sluggo has kept the slugs away.....   the weather still isn't any better......I had a dentist appointment this afternoon (30 minute drive each way and two hours in the chair) so there wasn't time to go to the dog park which really didn't matter because the weather was too rainy to go

:flowerforyou: Marie I have to laugh that it's too hot in your garden and too cold in mine
too dry in your garden and almost too wet in mine

:flowerforyou: Gayla, even if you have a bad weigh in at WW don't let it discourage you.....never, never, never give up

:flowerforyou: Jeffrey, I'm so glad you've been able to get in such fabulous workouts and that you don't have the kind of weather that keeps you inside.

:flowerforyou: my line dance class this morning was great......a bunch of us are going to a workshop on Saturday so we practiced our favorite dances that will be done during open dance time

:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: time to get back on the exercise bike

Ok, dear friends, confession time. I gained 1/2 pound this week. It almost makes me wish I had had a bigger piece of cake!! Just messin' with you, a half pound is more than enough of a gain to tell me to get back on track. I will be watching very closely this week. After exercising 3 days in a row!!

I have met a very nice person on mfp by the name of Gigi. I have invited her to join us in the Senior Golden Sneakers. She is going away for a week but plans to come here when she returns. I know she will enjoy the same welcome I got when I joined. I also appreciated all those months when I couldn't find my way to weight loss and you supported me and never gave up on me even though at times I gave up on myself. You folks are the best!!

    Good night all. Gayla

Take care all. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite, but if they do, beat them with your shoe. Gayla

Can we beat the weatherman instead?:noway:

Seriously, I am glad your weather is staying nice. It was actually dry for a few hours this afternoon and evening, but we are going to get dumped on again tomorrow.:ohwell:

Doggies are unhappy with me, since all three of them go to the vet tomorrow for a checkup, and Pepper gets his teeth cleaned during his exam, which means no food after 8p tonight. The other two, however, CAN eat. Therein is the problem--how to feed two out of three without starting a riot?? Fortunately, I was able to distract Pepper and the other two got a snack, so all is quiet on the western front.

    Jake,
Sorry about the quality of your golf game. Look at the bright side. If it ever stops raining you will have the whole summer to improve. It is amazing what can be accomplished in two weeks  :noway: when you put your mind to it!!

As for the aphids, I suggest you ask Gayla if you can borrow her shoe (if it isn't worn out)--you know, the one she has been using on the bedbugs!!

Well, all this levity is making me sleepy, so g'night.
