I think I might make me a steak on the grill for Labor Day0

I haven't come across a single good reason for going vegan.
Not even animal welfare, the environment or health benefits?0 -

Here's one: More meat for the rest of us! :bigsmile:0 -
There are so many reasons to go Vegan... yet one pulls me back every time. Meat is good.0

You do realize that mice are primarily herbivores? The way their bodies react to meat is very different from how we would react to it.
Rats however are well known for eating meat. Mice are very similar.0 -
I have Points on my teeth, Claws, Forward facing eyes, and ears on the side of my head. I am By definition a predator!!
Don't forget that you also have a pancreas that releases an enzyme during the digestion process to assist in the breakdown of raw meats. (Not as necessary since we discovered fire of course)0 -
Good thing I'm not a mouse because I'm going to be grilling up some ribeyes this weekend.0

our own BODIES produce methylglyoxal. its a naturally occuring compound produced by natural processes inside our bodies.0

Doesn't knowing you've led to the death and sometimes torture of hundreds if not thousands of animals make you feel bad?0 -
Question, was this organic meat or one that is giving steroids, anti biotic and other fun stuff...
study seems slightly flawed. To go Vegan is personal choice. There are always one sided studies so I am not worrying about it. If you are going vegan just make sure you get all the correct vitamins and minerals and do research and your studies on it and do it right. Dont make it a fad, Good Luck!!0 -
why put a label on it? Eat meat dont eat meat blahblahblah.
Ditto... do what works for you. I choose not to eat beef but I love me some turkey & chicken. Tried goose for the first time... didn't like it, its too greasy and I'm not a fan of dark meat.0 -
In reasons *not* to go vegan: Bacon.
I rest my case.0 -
am i the only one that thought "methyl-glyoxal"

how is eating cheese from farm raise cattle abusive to cattle or the environment? i understand avoiding consuming an animal product that was produced by inhumane methods, but that doesn't require one to go vegan.
and i actually believe that it is not in health's best interest to go vegan.0 -
At the risk of beating a dead horse (pun intended)... everything in moderation. If you don't like to do something, whether it be eating meat, microwaving your food, or doing cardio - great. But don't run around shouting that the sky is falling and trying to convince the world that your way is the only way.
Now, who wants to grill some burgers?0
