Read the first and a little into the second.

    They're not really gripping me.

Irritates me that people are so obsessed with the sexual content too. Completely missed the story of it - A guy who has issues with intimacy (due to his past) and is learning to trust with the help of a girl. And on the other end, a naive girl who is learning to push her boundaries in the name of love.

I mean, have people only just found out sex exists?

    right?!?

I've read them. I loved the first one - the second one was okay and I absolutely hated the third one. I think by then, I was tired of the writing and I was tired of all the sex. It just became annoying to me. :/

I read the first one, but I didn't enjoy it very much. I mean, the sex scenes were fine, and BDSM is cool if that's what you're into, but the writing was terrible.

I think she should give it another try.. =/ The writing was just NOT good.. the story was Okay... but too unrealistic. I know what it is supposed to be about.. but still. I've read the first 2, I didn't buy them and I don't plan on buying the last one...

Ladies... Meet MY Christian Gray... Mr. Ian Somerhalder... Mmmmmm.... he can spank me anytime, or whip me, or pull my hair, or bring out the riding crop, or take me to the Red Room of Pain - whateves... as long as he ties me up with that grey tie! DAMN!

my entire office was reading the series....i read all 3 in less than a week ;)

I read one book each day over the long weekend. I liked them. They weren't as bad (naughty) as all of the reviews made them out to be. I've read romance novels with more descriptive sex scenes. They actually had a book burning of these??? Read some Kathleen Woodweiss, Judith McNaught or Julie Garwood. Much more detail, just no whips and plugs involved

read all three in two days.

if Ian Somerhalder doesn't play Christian in the movie, I will NOT be going to see it! It's only him and Lucy Hale I can picture playing the parts of Christian and Ana!

I don't care for it either. Read the first one, had to force myself through it, and it took me 2 weeks.
I love reading and will finish a book in a few hours if I'm really into it, but it just didn't do it for me

I hated it. It's reinforces tired stereotypes that women can change men into someone else. It glorifies abusive relationships. And it reads like it was written by a poorly educated teenager. And to me anyway, it was not sexy in the least. I am sorry to everyone who read it and loved it, but it was a huge waste of my time.

I can't remember if I already quoted this or not. But I feel the same way, only since I have started it, I do want to finish the books. I'm on book 3
  • on book 3 lol
  • same here lol cant finish book 3

I read all three within a few days and loved them. The first book starts out kind of slow, but I really enjoyed it after the first few chapters. I realize it's supposed to be "Twilight Fan Fiction," but this book in no way, shape, or form makes me think of Twilight. From what I recall Bella and Edward never had any kind of Red Room of Pain or any think of that likeness. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Twilight when I first read it, but now I realize it wasn't that great. However, I could easily read 50 Shades all over again!
