First comment: More information. How old is this kid? Why are you letting them use your computer and you're not watching? Do they have a current drug problem that you're aware of? Has your daughter asked you to purchase copious amounts of cough medicine lately?

I look up stuff like that all the time out of morbid curiosity... it doesn't mean I have any interest in actually making it. So basically I would react depending on what I know about this person in general. Do they seem like someone who would make drugs? Or do they just seem like someone curious? I would ask about it and gauge their reaction and go from there.0

I have found out that he has been using my computer to find sites on information on how to make meth. Not sure if he is actually doing this but why else would he be looking up the info?
What I WOULDN'T do is jump to conclusions. Sure, you should keep your eyes open, but if you haven't had any other reason to suspect this before, then you should give him the benefit of the doubt. I've looked up plenty of ridiculous things I've never actually planned on doing just out of curiosity. And if this is the case and you make a rash decision, you risk alienating your daughter and making yourself look like a fool.
Now, if he HAS given you reasons not to trust him in the past, then I'd say it's not only your right, but obligation as a parent to find out exactly what you're dealing with.

mY FATHER ACTUALLY HAD A SITUATION. mY SISTER'S BOYFRIEND GOT HER TO ASK MY FATHER FOR A LOAN under false pretences. He used the money to set up a pot growing hydro-ponics in my sisters appartment. When my parents went to visit they were never allowed in that room. one day my father found out. (My father was a very powerful business man above and below the board) He had some big guys go over, oversee the destruction of the equipment, the disposal of all drugs, and made sure the boyfriend understood he needed to leave town. Which he did. Problem solved.
So it was OK for your father's wife to be married to a criminal, but not his daughter? LMAO

On a serious note, I would wait until he comes over again and just flat out ask him. Put him on the spot. See what he says. Could have been just for laughs or possibly a school project. See how he reacts when you ask him about it and then you will have your answer. If that were me, I would be asking immediately.0

I am a high school teacher and I know that for our Planning class in grade 10, the students are given an assignment to make an informational poster on the what various drugs are, how they are addictive and the negative side effects etc. So I would talk to the boyfriend (and your daughter for that matter) about the reason for the search. If it is for a project at school, check it with the teacher to make sure it is on the up and up....otherwise my warning bells would be going off!0

As a lot of people have already mentioned, he probably watched Breaking Bad and was confused or curious. Or he read an article about meth and how easy it is to make and decided to look up from the internet how easy it really is. Or they had talk in school about it and he was wondering.
If he'd be serious about starting to cook meth he'd do it privately or would delete his browsing history or would use incognito browsing.
Oh the stuff I have looked up from the internet or the pictures I have seen and stories I have read... Internet is amazing source of knowledge, it's totally okay to google crap just for ****s and giggles.0 -

When all the new laws came into effect where we had to sign forms to buy decongestants, I became curious as well. Without knowing anything about the guy, is he naturally curious? Did he want to know for the sake of knowing? Is he a real schmuck of a guy and this sent up legit alarms? I wouldn't automatically assume the worst until you spoke to him.0

^^ This - my son's class got free pizza for lunch one day because their class had the best poster on the drug they were assigned. And we all know most boyfriends go to their girlfriends' houses to study.

If I did everything I looked up then i'd probably be dead. People research weird things and watch weird videos online. It's simply just being curious. Ever looked up two girls one cup? I've watched it, but that doesn't mean i'll do it. Haha. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Also, if someone is wanting to do something illegal and they look up information about how to do it they will most likely delete the history themselves.0

I would speak with both of them and see who actually searched it.
How do you know it wasn't your daughter? Or someone else in the house? It may not of even been the boyfriend searching.
Unless you say him search it it's hard to say that for sure he did.
