I thought twice about posting because today was not a normal day. Today was my first day recovered from a terrible bout of food poisoning, so much less food than my usual day's, but, well, here goes . . .
B:
espresso with milk (not cream, this time), 2 of 'em
plain whole milk yogurt, about 400 g
L:
about 5 or 6 almonds
a vegetable juice made of collard greens, cabbage, eggplant, ginger and garlic, oh and green onion too (Do not try this mix at home, it has a harsh, snippy taste! And, I should explain this one: I am trying to cleanse my body of whatever it is that gave me a two-day stomach illness.)
pot of savory green tea (it has sesame in it, or something)
All 12 of my homemade VEGANBALLS!! with lime juice
*Edit: and a slice of homemade wholegrain banana bread!

Hey everyone, I find that my snacking is adding up to be almost 1/3 of my daily calories some days. I was just wondering how many calories everyone else allots to their snacks?0
-
I had the tastiest breakfast EVER this morning (and many mornings), so I thought I'd share:
1/2 oroweat double fiber english muffin, toasted
1/2 T low fat cream cheese
1 Morningstar Farms veggie sausage patty
sprinkling of low-fat sharp cheddar (melted on the patty)
It's decadent, filling, and only around 180 calories!
My other breakfast is a smoothie:
4-5 cups spinach blended in some water
1 banana
1 cup frozen mixed berries
Delicious and healthy, and you can't even taste the spinach! Less than 100 calories for half the batch.
I will totally have to try that smoothie with the spinach..I would have never thought of doing that.0 -

It really depends on the day. Most times I have about 300 cals of snack. But today, I had 1000 calories for snack! It was a weird day and that is definitely not the norm. I generally plan my day out the night before and adjust accordingly. I always have one snack planned out mid afternoon, and if I add more in I'll just adjust my dinner (which is generally 500+ calories). They say it is better to eat small meals throughout the day, but I like a hearty dinner0 -
Thanks courtney_love! I've usually have about 300 at each meal, and then the snacks are all over the place! I'm glad I could compare with you.0

Happy Sunday everyone!
Breakfast: honey nut mini rice cakes (got up late)
Lunch: 2 oz. of peppered roast beef, slice of herb laughing cow, lettuce, all toasted on an english muffin, mini bag of natural salt/butter/pepper popcorn, baby carrots
Dinner: I think 1/2 a kashi pizza-mushroom and spinach. I can eat half of their pizza for 375 cals! I am also going to have a small side salad with it: lots of lettuce, sprinkle of 2% cheese, a few dried cranberries, real bacon bits, Garlic Expressions dressing
Snack: tangerine and peanut butter and jelly cupcake!0
