Looking to find out what everyone does with their tuna?? I am looking to get more Protein without all the fat from mayo... Can't wait to hear your suggestions.

    Thanks

I can't eat mayo because I am allergic to chicken eggs but the calories would be an issue as well. I mix it with salt and pepper, onions, celery, and cucumbers, and a little cider vinegar, top it over shredded lettuce.

Plain greek yogurt is a great substitute for mayo and if you add seasoning you can't even tell the difference:-) I also use it place of sour cream....

If I don't use mayo, I mix it with a little bit of mustard. I've seen some people mix it with avocado.

I take about a teaspoon of olive oil and mix in Mrs. Dash. There are so many Mrs. Dash flavors. Also, sometimes I use mustard or I mix in a tablespoon of fat free or light ranch into the tuna and then put it on a salad.

2 slices of whole wheat bread, a bit of colby jack cheese, mix well and bake for about 10 minutes at 350. It's a great quick lunch and goes well with a baby carrot side.

Some things should never go without mayo. I don't think I could completely eliminate mayo from my diet. In moderation, what's the big deal?
  • I usually go with mustard...

I get the tuna in olive oil and strain it. Then I mix it in with one of those 'steamer' bags of whole green beans or one of the veggie mixes for a quick, hot, and cheap lunch.

  • My favourite sandwich shop does mexican tuna filler. It's got mayo in it but I'm sure it's just as good without.......
Tuna, kidney beans, finely chopped celery, chilli and spring onion. Maybe add a tiny bit of olive oil or a vinegarette if you need more moisture. It's gorgeous though :-)

Mmm Great suggestions I have been eating tuna and mixed peppers with Philadelphia light wrapped in salted lettuce leaves. Some of these suggestions sound amazing. Dinner tonight! :)
