Boobs are just fat, so when you lose weight they go as well. Anyone who says they still have the same size after losing heaps of weight is either lying or has implants.

Going to have to chime in on this statement. Breast are not fat, they can be but for some ladies it's all mammary tissue. There are even those of use whose breasts continue to grow well into adulthood. :noway: No matter the weight loss. Many woman who have lost weight or had a reduction will continue to see the size increase. So no these woman are not lying.

I second this. My boobies continued to grow as an adult. First pregnancy - cup increase that never went back down. Second Pregnancy - another cup size larger that didn't go back down. I have lost over 90 pounds and to date I am still the same cup size (G or H depending on the bra).

But I am not complaining at this point. So far they still fit my frame. Now we''ll see what happens when I lose another 100 pounds. I'll probably look like tits on a stick...
  • I've worked at Victoria's Secret for four years as a bra specialist (yes a real position they interview for) and we recommend getting sized every 10 pounds, and always every six months.

If you go in there are and are over a size 40...still come in and get measured, usually an associate can direct you to where the best place to shop locally is for your size. ( i wish they had larger sizes :( )

Make sure when you go in to get measured you ask for a manager or a bra specialist to do it, they are the most experienced and should get your sizing correct. I actually have the creepy skill of just looking at a person and knowing the best size now!

Victoria's Secret also has a wardrobe center in the fitting rooms, its is a box of many bras offered, in the size they measure you, all in one place...if you tell the person that fits you what type of bra you are looking for, they should know what to match you with!

It is amazing how the right fitting bra can make you feel, and you look ten times better in your clothes!

    I agree!

I'm on vacation at a national park in California. I had reserved a compact car, but they gave me a 4WD Jeep - very cool. So I decided to take a road that is only for 4WD vehicles and it was really cool. But I discovered something - I need new bras!

I've gone from a D to a B and I'm ok with that. So much more comfortable when I run and I can get into nice blouses/ jackets without them riding up the front from being pushed out :P

I would give anything to take a good 1/2 pound off each boob. I hate having big knockers. Shirts and dresses just don't look right, I have to wear ugly beige or white granny bras, and they're just in the way. Plus they make me look older than I am. Ugh. I hope my boobs go byebye.

This is just the way I feel . . . Plus I'm short so if I wear anything remotely loose I end up looking like a birthday balloon thnx to my twins.
I wear minimizers but the straps are soo uncomfy . .
Since I started losing weight I have gone from 36c to 34d and I'm as happy as ever!! :blushing:

    Strictly humor, Ladies>>>

From a man's point of view, before I WEIGH IN on the subject, I would need to have a FIRM GRASP of BOTH SIDES if the issue!

And on a serious note - from a man's point of view, obviously socially unacceptable for a man to wear a bra, and I wouldn't want to anyway. But I did find a place that has compression t-shirts for guys that keeps boobs and other loose skin rolls from flopping around.

So far, mine are staying the same cup.. just going down in band size. When I lost weight before, I went from a 40D to a 38F.. had my son and went to a 38G. Now I'm a 38/36F again.
When I lose the rest of the weight, I'd be aiming for a 34D.. but anything smaller than that and I think I'll go crazy :P

6 pages and no pics???? MFP is seriously going downhill!!
  • It feels like I'm carrying an 8y/o child around because my boobs have to weigh a good 80lbs! LOL! I'm proud to say that my girls are going down as I lose weight! They're starting to sag a little, too, but there's an app for that I'm sure! LOL

Some of these responses are quite humorous, as one would expect!

I plan on getting measured over the weekend, I'm hoping the cup size hasn't changed and only the number, that would make me happy. I actually like having D's

I was lucky to only go down the size, & not the cup! I was a happy girl when I found that out. 36D to a 34D. I treated myself to a new bra from VS!

    are shrinking!!!!! :noway:  ( . Y . )

I have been the same (fairly big) size forever!!! I even had myself measured a while back to see if the size changed at all and the lady said it was still the same but lately, my bras don't fit well anymore. The straps are constantly falling (very annoying) and the cup is well, not as full as before. :ohwell:

Guess it's time to get measured again and get some new bras! The problems of weightloss ...

Before I started losing weight I measured very very large (like a G or H or something ridiculous like that) but when I would buy bras I would always fit comfortably in a 44DDD. Now that I've lost 147lbs they tell me I still measure a G or H!!! Yet when I try on bras Im lucky if I can fit into a D. It all has to do with your band size. So if a band size fits but the cup is too big go down a cup size, but that also means that the band size might need to be adjusted because bras for different boob sizes are built differently. At victoria secret I am a 36D , but then at Lane Bryant (awesome bras!) I am a 40DD is a bouqaneut but in a T-Shirt bra I am a 38D :ohwell:

So unfortunately you are just going to have to get your girls out there and start trying on bras  ...and stop relying on measurements :flowerforyou:
