    Add me. I try to stay around 1200 but my trainer tells me I should be around 1400 to 1500. If I eat the higher end I consider it a "cheat" day.

    Being a fitness instructor I am here to help and by starving yourself will only lead to other problems. A lot of people don't know this but if the body does not get enough good calories then it will retain the calories it gets plus some from the muscles resulting in no weight loss unless exercising and confuses your body metabolism. Sorry this is for the guy at 900 calories.

    Well my deadlift has been going up 10lbs each session on 900 calories so I think we can throw that whole muscle loss thing out the window.

    nope sir we won''t be that group. nice try though. I went from 250 pounds to 179 pounds. haven't gained any weight back. if you want to gain some then go for it.

    haha I lost 71 pounds doing 1200 calories so far how much did you guys lose? when I get to my goal weight which is 48 pounds to go I will lose a total of 125 pounds eating 1200 calories. thank you very much.

    Can anyone give me any good snack tips that fill you up pls? Got into a bad habit of drinking wine most evenings so that's piled on the pounds! I'm a single mum so spend most evenings on my own so I get really bored. HELP!

    trying to stick to 1200 everyday. Office job so not very active during the day. walk my little dog every night for half an hour but not really getting anywhere going to try a few 10min workouts as I am quite busy and find it difficult. It is amazing though how much food you can eat if you pick wisely during the day and still be under 1200 cals. Every morning I have weetabix with Milk, a piece of fruit and yogurt before my lunch break, a turkey or chicken wrap with salad or soup with no bread for lunch, and then not as stirct at dinner time but try cut down on portion sizes, bread and chips etc (jacket potatoes are good but I try not to eat too many of them in one week or day after day). and if I am still hungry I can have another piece of fruit and lots of water!!!

    would love someone to support me, I had a very hard lunch break and had to resist the urge of homemade lasange!!! I also have 4 pieces of bread calling out to me that I am trying not to crumble to!! :S

    I'm a 1200 calorie girl too but I find that even with working out if I eat at 1200 calories or the calories allowed with working out I will not lose but maintain my weight. :( It's only if I eat below 1200 calories I actually lose weight.....maybe my metabolism needs a swift kick in the groin!!!!!

    I know its going to be kind of obvious but try cutting out fizzy drinks and chocolate. if you want crisps go for low calorie and as low fat as possible. you could still have a glass of wine every now and then but try keeping it to one or two glasses a week, instead of buying a full bottle try the smaller ones that are just one glass worth or diluting it down with sparkling water.

    I've been doing 1200 and not been hungry. What has been working for me is I've gone heavy on both protein and fiber (always over the MFP "goal" on both). Beans and lentils are great for both and low in calories. I've been making a big batch of soup and munching that for lunches (dinners too when the hubby is away). Lots of veggies and lean proteins. My snacking too I try to get in protein and fiber, hummus is great for that.

    well I lost 5 more pounds weighing at 174 pounds. I eat veggies, fruit, almonds and tropical fruit trail mix for snacks. I know if you google 100 calories snacks they have tons. some are really weird things but there is a lot of good ones too.

    I am not a girl but I am a huge proponent of eating as few calories as possible to get fat loss over with ASAP. Up until today I was eating 900/day.

    Eating this low during the week and binging on the weekends might not be such a good idea, especially for a guy. You can really screw yourself up doing this. Probably not good to be suggesting this diet plan on here. And if you are going to say you are eating at 900, then also say that you eat up to 3000 cals 2 days a week. Full disclosure please!

    A question for anyone: Do you find that it's hard to stick to 1200 each day, or do you just balance it out over a week? (For instance, if you have 1400 one day, you just eat 1000 the next? If so, does this work for you?
