My baby is a 2yr old Great Dane and I would LOVE to have a whole herd of them!
LOVE great danes too. But so high maintenance!0 -
I have a Black and tan coonhound mix and will never own any other breed0

<<<<<< BEST DOG EVER!!!!!!! Our beloved Zeus.
Real German Shepard, from Europe, not the American Standard. I also prefer a Sable.0 -
mutts, ftw.0

I'm a massive rescue dog fan and nothing beats a mongrel. I've worked in a rescue kennels and now i work in a boarding kennels. I have a massive MASSIVE soft spot for the oldies too.0

My baby puppy Quinsi when he was a wee thing
Is he deaf? My two white rescues are both deaf.
He was not deaf and we always joked that he could hear a gnat fart. Tyson, our other white boxer, we believe is mostly deaf. He can hear some very loud sounds0 -

Oh no no, they are sooooo easy to baby!! Only thing I've ever had issues with is his weight and he has an ear infection(floppy ears!!!)0 -
I love these anatoilian Shepard's
Oh I almost forgot Anatolian Shepards. They're amazing!!0 -
Beagles!!!! we have a 9 year old beagle named Charlie & two jack russell terriers, Peanut & Benny0

<---Mine Dimitri is a beagle/boston mix. Most loveable dog ever!
Though I do tend to love most dog breeds. We were originally looking at Staffies (pit breed), but unfortunately they fall under a ban in our province. Then we fell in love with Dimitri and that was it.0 -

Pit boxer mix is my baby to the left. We also have 2 other boxers!0 -
Never thought I wanted a big dog until I gave in a got the German Shepherd my husband has always wanted. He is all black except one patch of white on his chest and some white in between his toes. He is the sweetest dog and so smart too. Love him!0
-
Mine can't hear anything. Trust me....we've tried pots & pans, screaming, air horns, etc. Nothing wakes them up. Oddly enough, they sense when someone is walking up the front sidewalk to the door. They start going wild well before the doorbell ever rings.0

I am loving my Sheltie... and my BIL's Shelties... Other than that, anything that's a Westland Terrier or bigger has the ok in my book... anything smaller, I just want to give to my cats to play with.0
-
Boston Terriers, because they are sooooooo damn cute!!!!0

What a wide variety of dogs I have had in my lifetime. Guess you could say I just love all dogs.
Poodle - smart & playful & loving
Dalmation - not so smart, but very loving
German Shepherd - very smart (went to war & came back a hero)
2 medium sized terrier mix mutts from the pound - both were smart & loving
English Setter - so much energy - he chased bird shadows
*The next 3 dogs we had at same time & they were all rescued (imagine the amount of dog food we went through)
Irish Setter - rescued (she was an older dog)- smart & loving
Old English Sheep Dog - (she had been abused)- what a sweetheart - liked to herd all the animals back into our yard
Yellow Lab - rescued - thought he was a lap dog
Schnoodle - Schnauzer/Poodle mix - so smart, she knew a lot a tricks & very loving
Cocker Spaniel - we bred them - so sweet & loving - our first one had seizures
Cocker Spaniel - she was from the last litter - also very sweet & loving - didn't breed her - she's old now w/ cataracts & deaf
Havanese - This is our current baby - she is so smart & loving - hates to be away from us for long
I love all dogs & would have to say that the last line from the poem by John O'Hurley says it so well (thanks for posting)
"The dog that is perfect … is the one next to you."0 -
Golden Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dogs.

I love them all! Even the ones with reputations:)0
-
Ok I'll say it: schnauzers because they are a little crazy and very smart:)0
-
Give me a Pit any day! I have a Black Lab mix and a Pit/Boxer mix! The pit is the most affectionate dog we've ever owned.
We used to have a pitty mix, and she was the best dog I've ever met in my life....sweet, loyal, smart and loving....totally won me over from any preconceived ideas I had about the breed!0 -
Labs and Rotts.. mainly because I've had both and loved them, but I would be open to having any medium/large breed dog if I could have one. I would looooove to get a Chocolate Lab.0
-
I used to be a dog trainer, so I have several breeds that I love!
Golden Retriever - my dog is the best! I've had him for 10 years and he was exactly the dog I needed when I got him. My brother had the most awesome Lab ever and my mom has a Lab puppy that's a close second.
My next dog will be a Doberman. I have a breeder picked out already, lol.
If I wanted a small dog, I would definitely get a Westie - so smart and cute!0 -
My baby puppy Quinsi when he was a wee thing
Is he deaf? My two white rescues are both deaf.
AAAAAAAGH! My heart skipped a beat. SO CUTE0 -
Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Admittedly, ours is a little insane, but we blame that on her seizures.0
-
I've always been partial to Rotties - had a couple myself and we had Pitts, an Akita and a Standard Poodle when I was growing up.
Right now I have 3 - Xena, Rott that was dumped and starving in middle of the country and we rescued her, Roxy, white pit/boxer mix that we got from the pound and Oreo, a black/white ****zu that we got from the pound (my daughters baby lol).
This is the first time I ever had a small dog and I wasn't too thrilled about it....but Oreo started out as a cranky little recluse and has progressed so much being with the other dogs and getting our love, it is amazing to see the change in her0 -
Bernese Mountain Dog
^ I love these dogs, and have wanted one for so long but I got 5 already so it's gonna have to wait unfortunately. I'm just a little leery because I know big breeds have a tendency to acquire health issues especially hip problems. I had to watch my Golden Brandi deteriorate rapidly while she slowly lost her ability to to walk, it was so heartbreaking. I also am scarred from loosing my St. Bernard @ 2years old die of cancer. It sucks but with life comes death I suppose, gotta love em for the all they great time they give ya, even though it's never long enough.0 -
LOVE all dogs! But my favorite is a Puggle! BEST dog ever! (At least ours is)0
-
Gosh I love looking at all the pictures of everyones favorites they are so cute. I do love my labs, all 5 of them. But really I love all dogs, small or large.0

Average life expectancy for a Berner is only 8 years. He's the big stupid love of my life and I know in just a few years, I'm going to be completely gutted.
But, for now he's too amazing to imagine being without.0
