Going to the casino tonight...usually don't drink 'cause drinking and gambling = stupid mistakes...the buffet should be easy, salad and only one plate

I drank light beer for my last few days of drinking...the sacrifices I have to make...boy, is that stuff full of water...better off drinking what I like and then a glass of water between....geez

Dave, I think I might have to wait for summer to be over to focus on goals....

I just mapped Billy's Inn, this bar, from my house and it is 3 miles (approx 5k) so I think that is a sign I should jog there tonight to meet my friend for happy hour. Then I get in the "couch to 5k" workout and the workout allows me the calories for two bud lights and a shrimp taco.

    Beer hydrates better than water!

There was a lot of food at work today to celebrate birthdays, so I am not too hungry anyway. It does look like it is going to rain, though...

My goal was around my fitness. Think I've pretty much achieved what I set out to do. Took a week or so to get back on my feet after my treatment, back is still a bit sore but hey ho. Since then have got back to cycling to work. Have also made it back to the gym not quite as many times per week but getting there. At my session with my trainer on Sunday I lifted the heaviest weights I ever have. Proudest achievement is leg pressing 222lbs, not far off being twice my body weight, the best bit though was the next person to use the machine was a man twice the size of me and he adjusted the weight down  :drinker: ...not that I'm gloating or anything...

3 days a week sounds reasonable and i like to think i am a reasonable guy. I seem to have highs and lows when it comes to having a drink ( that sounds rather scarry but i don't think i need AA just yet). I was told about MFP by a friend and so far so great. It is just too easy to go to the fridge and get a cold one so i am going to take up Surlydave idea and see how it goes.

Monday was a fail because I had lunch at my fathers and they always give me a glass of wine. :grumble: tuesday was a fail because I had a vodka at 9:30 to help me sleep. Lets try for today. :noway:

Had 2 glasses of midweek wine today. My justification is that a friend I haven't been able to meet up with in ages suggested going to the pub for a drink. Well I didn't need any persuading to accept! One of life's pleasures is sitting in the sunshine having a chat over a chilled glass of wine.

I had 2 glasses - just 2 lousy glasses of red wine last night. This monring I had gained a pound. Life isn't fair sometimes!!!

I usually drink the whole bottle but refrained. What would I have gained if I kept on drinking until it was gone!!!

Um...all I can say is that gambling wasn't going to well...so, instead of throwing money away, I decided there was good value in drinking...damn grey goose lemon drops...I have no self control

I have total and upmost respect for you that can stop at 2...how do you do that?

So, I don't know what it is, but no drinking last week for Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Saturday we had 2 parties to go to, so I drank a couple of beers at both, and then no drinking Sunday or last night. Monday and Tuesday I had 2 beers each. I am on a roll! A much more reasonable level than the 2 or so EVERY night.
