girls in the gym

Oh look, it's this thread again.
How about if you have the time to worry about what OTHER people are doing in the gym, YOU'RE not working hard enough.
Mind your own business and worry about yourself. :noway:
Avoid the gym altogether, it's a lame place. Get out and run trails, go ride a bike, go snow shoeing or hiking in the winter...0 -
I think it's funny. I saw one girl on a climber and she spent most of the time working out with just one arm because she was busy pulling up her pants that were way too low. I am sure she thought she looked cute. It had a bunch of us cracking up.0

This is how I go.
What's it to ya?0 -
Don't worry about others, do your thing. If someone is in your way, politely ask them to move. I'm sorry, but venting here is doing nothing because the people who you are complaining about aren't reading this.
I will say, ladies, sweating with makeup on clogs your pores. We're working out to feel and look good, pack some wipes and remove excess makeup. Let your skin breath!

Buuuuuut.... if I saw girls at the gym taking "selfies" (i HATE that word BTW) I would just proceed to the squat rack and easily squat twice their weight. Post THAT *kitten* on Facebook, Barbie.

i liked your pun there with "cracking up"
i agree, it is amusing... but i really do go to a small gym in a big city and it's more venting frustration than anything that i'd like to have the space to workout freely, not share with people who aren't doing anything or taking it seriously. sigh... that's all i meant. :ohwell:0 -
LOL...precisely. Let's face it: some people are attention *kitten*.
I absolutely love that picture0 -
Well, not surprised women are always hating on each other.
Btw, unless a girl has great genetics or is just starving herself, she is working out at a rate that makes her look fit. There's no way around it.
You don't have to sweat your *kitten* off if you are trying to maintain weight while eating at an appropriate calorie level. They could just be doing LISS for an hour.0 -
In honor of this thread i will be rocking bright red lipstick to my volleyball game tomorrow and Friday and let's see if anybody says I'm not working....once they can see again after my killer ACE!0

It's going to be okay sweetie...want me to hold you?0 -
I always have makeup on. I go straight from work and barely have enough time to change. Plus there are 14 of us in the same car and if hurry I don't get a ride. I have stopped honking my hornand throwing confetti while on the treadmill but hey, if you want to stare I'll put on a show!0
-
So, can I wear a push up bra to the gym or not?0

I love it when people resort to personal attacks because they don't have the ability to converse in a mature fashion.0 -
I think a lot of people did miss the point - a lot of us have annoyances and this is one of hers. When I used to go to the gym (work out at home now) I hated seeing people like, just hanging out, not working out, looking at themselves in the mirror, wearing a sh!tload of perfume, etc. The OP has a point, jeez!0

THANK YOU!!! People continue to ask how it affects me. IT'S A SMALL GYM! Utilize it or leave.
I also really hate when people use the machinery incorrectly because they have no idea what they're doing. That's a major cause of injuries. Anybody want to attack me about that?0 -

Having an opinion or grievence is one thing. Making sweeping generalizations of the people based on those is another.0 -
Well I also can't stand when people don't wipe down equipment after use, don't put a towel down when they sit on equipment and they are sweaty or wipe it down too much so that it is dripping wet. So there! Something that DOES affect me and my workout0

The people defending the gym barbies are behaving no better than what they are accusing the OP of. Funny.0

yeah. I can agree on the perfume issue. I swim weekday mornings and have never quite understood why some women wear perfume to the pool. It comes off as soon as they get in and coats the surface of the water. There's NO mistaking the taste of perfume oil when it gets into your mouth. Being an oil it tends to stay there too. gag
On the other hand, if that's the worst thing that happens during my day I'm a lucky guy.
NOTE TO SELF - invent flavored perfume for swimmers. ooooo, I'm on to something here0 -
i feel like most of my posts on here are complain-y but i'm about to hide from all gyms and social media sites because of girls that do this...
girls in the gym WEARING MAKE UP!!!!! omg! if you still look good at the end, you're not working hard enough!
you do not need to take selfies in the mirror every time you're there and you do not need to go slow on the stair stepper because you're wearing a push up bra and don't want to lose your ta-ta's. KNOCK THAT OFF!!!!
take it seriously, or move out of the way for the people that do. you're giving us a bad rep!
i don't need you staring at me when i come in in a cut off with my hair snarled from running to the gym and scoffing when i pick up a weight. THAT'S WHAT THE GYM IS FOR. not instagram, mascara, and victoria's secret.
if you can notice what other people are doing/wearing, then you are not working out hard enough...0 -

We obviously have very different ideas of what the word mature means.0 -
