    Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes
    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Went to gym in spite of muscle ache, made a yummy crust less quiche that the family loved and was healthy, did not eat the popcorn at the theatre
    What would I have done differently? Nothing
    What is today's personal goals? Eat well, and keep emotions (and emotional eating) in check when son comes over for first time in a month and a half

    NEW GW at the end of the Summer 9/22: I want to be at 230 lbs.

    Sun - Nothing
    Mon - Walked for hours at Michigan Ren Fest
    Tues - 30mins Spinning, C25K W1D1 (Wonder if my butt will ever recover!)
    Wed - 1 hr BodyPump class (Now my entire body aches!)
    Thurs - 30 mins Recumbent Bike
    Fri - 10 min bike, 1 hr strength training, 30 mins treadmill (walking & jogging)

    jsandie, wow spinning and C25K in the same day? Linda you have checked in everyday lately it seems to me.

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? exercised daily for over a week
    What would I have done differently? water again, make dinner at home
    What is today's personal goals? 1 hour exercise 6 days a week, water, healthy food

    Sun- need some exercise today - 45 minute walk
    Mon - Aquafit - 60 minutes
    Tues - walk or weight training - 45 minutes of weight training
    Wed - Aquafit - 70 ninutes
    Thurs - walk or weight training - 60 minute walk
    Fri - walk or weight training - 60 minute of walking spread between 2 sessions over 9,000 steps
    Sat - Aquafit 65 minutes the substitute wasn't too bad and I supplemented a bit.

    Sorry all.......I've been MIA. I've been logging in now and then but not consistently and certainly not making good food choices like I was and I gained a lb this week. I would just not log my weigh in if I had a gain and decided that was not helping me to I logged the gain. I wish it would have said that I had weighed in and had a GAIN of .8 lbs. Oh well......I just did! I've GOT to get back into my mfp routine and checking in and posting with you gals! You keep me honest! I've spent a couple of days changing out from summer to fall merchandise at the hospital gift shop that i volunteer at and I'm SOOOOOO sore! Climbing ladders, reaching, and squatting to display areas etc. Made me realize if I'm going to be able to hike and MOVE in 10 years I'd better get this under crontrol now. I need a serious butt chewing!

    I am checking in regularly here but this is one of the few times I did it in the morning which it is designed for I think.
    Dahlia, I only post my low weights on here and only post a gain when I know it isn't going away soon. It is more motivating for me that way. If the gain is taking some time to get rid of then it helps me to record it and see it disapear. My weight varies alot and I would be going up and down so much if I posted every variation. Unfortunately it hasn't been until this year that I had any significant gains. So my system worked well. My work schedule keeps changing and that has finally had an impact on my weight. I think I will soon start a more steady job schedule so once I adjust to it maybe I can figure it all out and make some progress again. I am reading Younger Next Year for Women and it has impressed on me that we actually cannot just slow the decay but turn some of it around. Exercise is one of the biggest things in that. 1 hour 6 days a week and at least 2 of them strength training. Cardio for our hearts.

    What would I have done differently? water again but I made dinner at home

    I adjusted my schedule a bit to reflect my new work schedule. I can't go to Aquafit as much as before but I will be doing body or machine weight training and walk/run intervals more.

    Thanks for the input Keri. I've been up in weight all week and today is the day I log it so decided I'd punish myself by actually logging in the increase! You are right........the older we get the more you have to take control of it. Otherwise, it gets control over you! I've noticed the last couple weeks it's easy to go back to old ways and I just can't do that. Have to stay on top of it! It's hard work!! lol

    I'm glad I am seeing more and more familiar faces popping up again! Dahlia don't get too down on yourself, you will get into the groove! KeriA, yes I did do 30 mins of spinning and my first day of C25K on the same day. I got thrown into the spinning class but couldn't handle it (my bottom hurt SOOO bad!) and I walked out 1/2 way through. I was so disappointed with myself that I HAD to accomplish SOMETHING so I tried the C25K and I was so glad I did! I was so proud of myself!

    What would I have done differently? Nothing
    What is today's personal goals? Eat well, do cardio / yoga, don't waste my day away while hubby is at work (He is a teacher and has been off work since I started losing weight)

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? This weekend my husband and I built a new 5X10 walkway in front of the hosue. Good ole manual labor - probably burnt some calories too :-) Oh- mowed the lawn too.

    What is today's personal goals? check in, track and the elliptical or a walk.

    Everyone here is doing so great, realizing their ups and downs is half the battle. If you don't track it you think
    oh well, next time, then next time comes around and you don't track again, it becomes a vicious cycle
    like our weight. Be honest with yourself and be accountable for all you do, it will pay off in the end.
    I am on my second week of weight training, I joined a challenge group on MFP and see if I can keep
    that schedule on a routine. I have lifted weights in the past but only sometimes, not on a routine
    basis, maybe I can see some of the jiggle go away in my arms. :bigsmile:


    Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Did not track on Sunday, was at the boat for a sail
    and got caught up with social eating again. :ohwell:
    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? I would say no, it was a rest day for me no goals were set.
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Went sailing even though I was really tired all day.
    No sleep the night before due to a band playing in the neighborhood. :ohwell:
    What would I have done differently? Completed my diary and no social snacking.
    What are today's personal goals? Strength training w/ weights, done, drink water, mindful eating

    Now that I was able to make my goal of exercise 6 days a week for awhile I was thinking of adding in weight training and I have had that problem that you mention Shirley. I need something to keep me on a schedule with it too. I am trying to figure out how to fit it into everything else. Now is probably the time since I can't do Aquafit as many days a week anyway.

    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? I did REAL squats! I started out doing squats against the wall with a big ball behind my back. Yesterday I did 3 sets of normal squats! My knees were quite sore last night but this morn they feel absolutely fine! YAY!

    I'm back! I was sick and stuff last week and had the misfortune of being stung by an Arizona Bark Scorpion early Monday morning. I'll get back in the swing of things here by the end of the week.

    Did you stay within your nutritional goals? No (I went over by 100 cals or so but I have been way under for the last week or two so I intentionally spiked a bit)
    Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Not really. Went over in cals and didn't do any cardio (If I had done the cardio that I expected to then I wouldn't have been over)
    What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Nothing
    What would I have done differently? Did some cardio (would have also made it so my extra cals didn't take me into the red)
    What is today's personal goals? Eat well, go to gym for Upper Body
