Does "Hot Mom" Need to Apologize?

So... this woman has been in the news this week. Former model, 3 kids under 3, rockin' bod, posts this picture, and hate mail ensued.
Apparently, this has caused many people to get their proverbial panties in a bunch.
They claim she's fat shaming.
Is she?
Where is the line between fat shaming, health, and non-model reality?
What excuses have we made for ourselves?
What excuses do we continue to make?
Does she owe an apology?
I say no.

I say no.
she's not "fat-shaming" at all. this is about being healthy, for yourself and your kids.0 -
She works her *kitten* off with three kids.
The shape comes for all that she does and she kept up her shape while expecting.
Jealous people are quick to pile on.
I say good for her0 -
No...she owes no apology.
Why would anyone get upset over that pic? Motivated...yes.0 -
Why would she apologize? She looks fantastic, and she's right!0
-
hell to the no-people get way to involved in other peoples lives! She looks great and good for her!0
-
No she doesn't need to apologize as I don't see this as fat-shaming! A body like that takes dedication!
I'm very happy for her0 -
What excuses do we continue to make?
Personally my excuse for not having three kids is that I don't want kids. Can't be doing with the whole passive aggressive breeder thing...

Absolutely not. This isn't fat shaming in any way, shape, or form. It's pure jealousy that's pissing people off.0
-
Absolutely not!
She is a hardworking mum with a great body and three small children. Why should she apologise for trying to get others to think about their own lifestyles? I truly think that the negative backlash has come from those who look within and are not comfortable with what they see.0 -
I think she's inspirational. She shouldn't have to apologize for that.0
-
No!!0
-
Nope.
As a society we have become too "politically correct". So much so that we knit pick and sometimes bully people who don't deserve it. Even when they are doing something positive and have not given us any reason to...0 -

No apologies! She looks great and I, personally, see the message as motivating.0

Had to chime in again... LOL
AND....
We have to stop enabling people. Half of the problem is that we are so worried about hurting someone feeling we accept obesity, We accept laziness, We accept much lower standards in all aspects of life.0 -
Only if the picture is photoshopped.0
-
Apologize? No.
But should she stop fake apologizing on facebook and doing interviews defending herself again people who don't appreciate her brand of motivation? Yes.
I rolled my eyes when I was the photo because it's like "My excuse is we don't have the same priorities" because I don't. I am healthy. I am not into having that body/level of fitness. But do I think she was trying to be a jerk a year ago when she posted it? Not really, given the things she has written prior to this event. But then she had a ranting facebook post that was very blamey and less than great interviews and I kind of just want to tell hot mom to stop.
Quite frankly, because I'm a mom and own my own business too and do a lot of charity work (she runs her own), I'd be peeved that people were talking about my hotness and forgetting I am human being.0 -

I totally agree0 -
No!0

Definitely not! She is in fact an inspiration for me!0

I think it's fat shaming, personally. I agree with the person above who said that it's not necessarily an excuse, but a different priority for a lot of people... And IMO it's not her place to label people's priorities as 'excuses'. And looking like she does really is not necessary to be healthy (and probably impossible for a lot of women).. so I think it's a bit uncalled for.
For what it's worth, I found her apology even worse, lol.0 -

No she does not need to apologize. She looks amazing and is trying to inspire others to do the same.0

My wife dropped her weight very quickly after having twins - and looked awesome pretty quickly. So much so, I actually saw two neighbourhood women with identical-aged babies (but different bodies) gawk and then say "did you see that bi*ch" when they thought we were out of earshot.
Every person has a different body to start. Every woman takes different "care" of themselves while pregnant - and for many reasons. Every woman then works off the baby weight differently.
The pic is of a woman with the right combination of metabolism, motivation, and time ... not every woman needs to look like that, nor is it possible for every woman to ever look like that.
Fat-shaming? No.0 -
Yes, she needs to apologize for not having babies with me.0
-
Nope. Good for her.0
-
HELL NO! Much respect for this gal and all she has achieved.
Just yesterday at work one of the girls finally said it out loud... She pretty much said I was a "B for being (skinny) having lost my 60 lbs. I worked MY *kitten* off. I am NOT a supermodel. I'm soo average it's sickening. Just a mom who sat for too long.
I'm not sorry for anything but them. They are in a big hurry and cannot see the big picture yet. I hope, for their sake, someday they will or at least be happy with who they are.0 -
the only ones that seem to be judging are the ones that refuse to get off the freaking couch. No apology needed.0
