Naomi, I thought you meant 40 degrees Celsius and thought I can't imagine that heat, then realized you live in the States in Virginia which I don't think is that warm this time of year. Anyway, I wouldn't mind a little more warmth here in Ontario...again, the winds are biting today, but the sun is shining and it's still beautiful outside, just too windy for me to go out for a walk.
Thursday truth, I went to the gym and did elliptical and felt good afterwards. I seem to be getting more energy as I got up much earlier than usual.0 -
I believe that Naomi is referring to centigrade temperatures.0

@L2T~ I hope your aren’t experiencing a plateau, they are frustrating for sure – I’ve read that it isn’t a true plateau unless it lasts for 6 weeks. All I can recommend is to take a look at your diary and your macros. Are you getting enough of protein? Are you drinking enough water? Are you taking in more sugar or sodium than is recommended? Are you under a great deal of stress? Cortisol levels have a big impact on weight loss. These are all factors that can lead to a stubborn scale. If you discover that you are lacking in an area or are having too much of something, change one thing and see how you do for the next week. That is what I have done in the past. Hang in there!
Big THANKS to Kah for the above advice. I went back and looked at my macros for the last couple weeks and discovered my carbs were up and protein was down. I reversed that the last 3 days, drank plenty of water and 2.2 lbs miraculously fell off between last night and this morning. Kah, you're my hero!
Speaking of macros, do most of you use the percents suggested by MFP or have you changed them? A couple months into this, I changed the percent of carbs from 55% to 45% and increased protein by the same 10%. I left fat at the recommended 30%. While I don't hit these percents perfectly every day, I'm darn close when I look at the weekly numbers. Clearly, for me, less carbs makes a big difference. Anyone else find this is true? And if so, what percent do you assign to carbs?
Hope everyone has a great day!
Hooray for the loss - awesome!!! The macros that MFP has preset are high, carbs specifically. I saw the registered dietition at my gym a while ago and for weight loss she recommends 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat - so that is what I have adjusted my macros to. It seems to work well for me. I've done a fair amount of research and have found that most people do well with this formula for macros.
@Nettie~Hooray for a cooperative scale this morning - I hope it sticks on your official weigh in day!0 -
First, welcome to all the newlings! You've stumbled onto a group of the most amazing, supportive, and caring people on MFP!
JNettie - Thanks for rolling us over! Congrats on the 8lbers. Mr. Brian will be amazed once you're lifting 30lbers and you can whoop him in a wrestling match. Grats on the scale victory this morning! I am actually a very reluctant semi vegetarian... I have kidney issues that cause me to hold onto uric acid and I keep getting gout so I eat a VERY minimal amount of meat. My gout attacks aren't just a quick deal and easy to treat as there is only ONE gout medicine that doesn't filter through my already taxed kidneys and my insurance doesn't cover it. Also, I never get it in just ONE joint. I wind up having it multiple joints and I was wheelchair bound because of it the entire week of Christmas (and then on crutches for another week). It's easier just to NOT eat meat (even though I love it so very much).
BJCamp - Best of luck with the upcoming ultrasound.
Laurie - I always do sleep with a pillow between my legs. I have a fractured vertebrae that never healed and back pain is no stranger, but this was different. It was BAD. I did actually think about what you said and I SWITCHED the pillow I use. The one I normally use is pretty soft and it stops at my knees which makes my lower leg hang down and put tons of pressure on the outside of my knee...so I switched it out for my king size pillow (that I only use for decoration). That supported the ENTIRE length of my leg and I'll tell you...when I settled into bed with it .... the relief was UNBELIEVABLE. Also, my mother is CONSTANTLY complaining (and shocked) that my 14 year old nephew never learned cursive. When she writes him a note he absolutely cannot read it. I have to agree that it's kind of shocking to me that they don't still teach it.....ASY... I have to hand it to you teachers... I have zero patience for kids and I could never handle dealing with them as you all do.
Robin - I'm so glad you're home. I sure hope they find what's ailing you so you can get on the mend and feel better. The thread might be ABLE to go on without you... but we miss you an awful lot when you're not around!!
SeeLShrink - Good idea about the positive thoughts about ourselves. In my daily prayer journal I also do a gratitude journal. Each day I list 5 things I feel blessed about... I think I may add a line for at least TWO things I like about myself.
AFM - GREAT day at work yesterday. I was really feeling the love. It appears that Co-workers, customers, AND vendors really didn't care for my replacement and my head was so swollen when I left yesterday I could barely get it into my car. I got in enough steps to cover my overage. My replacement wreaked so much havoc that I did a LOT of running around fixing stuff yesterday and I was so exhausted after work/errands that I wound up eating combos and a 3 piece valentine sampler (both welcome back gifts from customers). Thanks to Laurie's suggest I got a great nights sleep last night (see above) and have my healthy breakfast/snack/lunch for today!!0 -

Thursday Truth: This Saturday is the 2-year anniversary of my Dad's death and I'm having a hard time with it. I'm keeping up with things and staying on my strict diet, but part of me wants to lie in bed and cry while eating pizza.0
-
Fullcrow – I’m sure it’s a very difficult time for you. You will be in my thoughts – if you want pizza, eat pizza It will all be ok and tomorrow is a new day.
MyMowMow – I hate to read about your gout issues. I just don’t think I could be a vegetarian, but I guess with health issues, we don’t have much of a choice in some issues. Thanks for the well wishes.
JNettie – Congrats on your loss – that’s awesome. Thanks for the well wishes as well. I just wanna know what’s going on. The waiting is definitely the worst.
Tlh0407 – Thank you for the pm offer. I will probably be taking you and Kah68 up on that. You guys are definitely the best! I hope you have a GREAT trip!
Thanks for everything yall! I lean on this group more than yall could ever imagine, even if I don’t post a whole lot. I ready the posts and laugh and cry and shake my head like crazy. It’s amazing to be going through this journey with you all.0 -
Thursday truth - I am anxious and nervous for my EMG next Thursday.
I recalculated my BMR and it says I'm at about 1875/day. MFP says I should eat 1330cal/day to lose 2 pounds a week. Mathematically this doesn't make sense. I think this is what's throwing me off with why I'm not losing weight.
So if I eat 1330 with 1875 BMR that's a daily deficit of 545.
545x7 = 3815
So essentially I need to burn an additional 3185 calories in my workouts to lose 2 pounds a week.
Now is this will put me under 1200 calories/day. Am I right or wrong in this math?0 -

I could be very very wrong, but from what I always understood you should never eat below your BMR.... I've always used my TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and subtracted around 25% from that (I'll do 20% as I get closer to goal).0 -
Hi all, I feel a need to clear up- I do mean 40 celcius. Im actually in Victoria, Australia, but for some reaon MFP has put me in virginia-i didn't even know thats what VI stood for until kah told me LOL. Today is forecast for 44 with late change (dropping to 31). Doesn't really sound like much of a change!
Friday fitness, I'm not really trying to get fit at the moment, with fibro, keeping me from anything other than an easy walk. I'm hoping that I will be able to do more as I loose weight, gotta help carrying less around, surely!
Off to work now, and we are going out tonight, so I'll catch up with you all in the morning. Nxx0 -

Der. I'm having a dumb person day. My TDEE is 2243. So maybe my issue IS that I'm not eating enough when I don't eat back my exercise calories.
Why does this all have to be so confusing. I ate too much and gained weight, now I eat too little, but don't lose weight? Stupid body.0 -
alpunski- When MFP calculates the calories to lose the weight it already incorporates a calorie decrease with the recommended daily alliances, IF you don't eat enough your body will store the food and consequently gains weight. Don't be afraid to eat the amount of calories see what happens. It is the combination of foods that will help you to lose weight. The amount we eat is tricky but you don't want to starve your body.
Truth- Today, I am exhausted so I attempted to workout but was not feeling it. Just walked at a slow pace and lifted some weights. I am sore from yesterday's workout so today will be a rest day. Tonight I am trying to take it easy.0 -
What is TDEE and how do you figure it out?
My Grandma died on Tuesday, and I've been working out like crazy to keep from eating my feelings. Her funeral is next Tuesday, but I'm so sore I don't think I'm going to be able to work out tomorrow. I'd like to go for a walk, but it's really frickin cold here in Iowa!
I guess I don't have too much to say right now. Just trying to get through it till Tuesday is over... the lady and her husband (My Grandpa) practically raised my brother and me. My dad drove a semi and my mom was a teacher, so from the time I was three months old, till I started kindergarten I was with Grandma and Grandpa. I'm glad they're together again, but I miss them so much.
I'm happy to read these posts, and would like to thank everyone who responded to my questions. It helped a lot and when I get paid tomorrow, I'm going to run to Walmart and see which are cost-effective and look like they'll taste good! Thanks, friends!0 -
Just a newbie! Hi. I have 100 lbs to lose, have lost 10.4 lbs since January 1. This is my first attempt at posting. I only weigh in once or twice a week. I have drank ALOT of diet soda in the past but am now trying to cut back on that as well. Wednesday is my official weigh in day. I considered weight loss surgery but have decided to try one more time to diet before I resort to that.0
-
Hi all, Robyn here, just beginning my journey. You are all so inspiring. I look forward to getting to know you.
TRUTH: I am scared that, despite my declarations, I won't be able to do it this time. Again. I am going to give it my all.0 -
Thursday - Truth
Hmmm....I'm a newbie to this thread....and my truth is that I need to stop making excuses for why I'm so overweight....I've come up with quite a few doosies....from not having time to exercise to not having the money for exercise equipment to healthy eating is expensive to my husband keeps bringing home junk...etc etc....I've said them all....and believed it. I need to step up and be accountable. Just because DH brings home chips doesn't mean I have to eat them. It doesn't make him very nice to tempt me....lol....but ultimately it's MY fault if I eat poorly.....or don't exercise or whatever....
But acknowledging that I make excuses is the first step and I'm trying to change. Hope everyone is having a good Thursday!0 -
I'm scared too! You're not alone!0

Hayley, I'm sorry for your loss. I had a very close relationship with my grandmother. I know how much you will miss her. Using exercise to lessen the stress is a good strategy. As long as you keep your long term goals in mind, this will not derail you.
Since I have lost so much weight I find that I have to do a longer walk to get decent calorie burn. I have recalculated my routes so that I have a couple of 3 mile walks that I can choose. I just have to remind myself that my health is worth the hour it takes.
I'm still a bit conflicted about eating back exercise calories. I never did when I first started, but now I find that I nearly always do, even though I have upped my calorie goal. I guess it's working because I am almost down to where I was before the holidays. DD has suggested that I am in more of a lifestyle mode than a weight loss mode now. She could be right. I definitely don't feel the urgency that I did to begin with.
Have a great evening. You all inspire me every day. Onward and downward. Kaye0 -
Hey there!
Well my night didn't go as planned, there was a surprise blizzard here, and the roads were so terrible!! It was so slick that even the slightest tap on the brake had the car sliding immediately, and the snow was blowing so hard that you could hardly see in front of you. By the time I got home I had decided I was NOT going to be going back out. I still got my fitbit steps in, and I did a long yoga session. Tomorrow I will hit the gym for some cardio and arm work.
Truth - I'm super tired, so I'm going to get off of here and get to bed! Night!

Happy Friday!
Can't say I'm sorry to see the end of this work week and am glad Monday is a holiday. I have my annual physical on Monday morning and will be curious to see where my cholesterol levels are. Unfortunately, I think I'll have to be on medication to keep them down despite healthier eating and weight loss. Unlike DH who can eat crap and have perfect levels, I can eat celery and have high ones. Sometimes you can't overcome lousy genetics with just diet and exercise.
Not too much exciting going on for the weekend, but we are eating out with friends on both Friday and Saturday night. I've already selected my meals and logged the calories. That way I know what I have to work with the rest of the day.
DH is still driving me crazy as he figures out how to count calories and what he should eat. He still seems to think that "healthier" means less calories. I had to sit him down and point out that a 1/3 cup of trail mix (which he considers a health food) has as many calories as a can of Coke and almost as much sugar. He was stunned....LOL. Last night he came home, ate dinner and then loudly pronounced he had to have a BIG dessert since he still had 800 calories left for the day. I mean really, does he think I'll be appreciative of his bragging about the 1000 more calories he gets to eat every day than I do? If so, he needs to think through that again.
Here's a conversation we had last night for your amusement:
Me: How come you didn't take the low fat peanut butter crackers to the office? I got them so you'd have an alternate snack instead of trail mix.
DH: They have too many calories.
Me: Really? I think they're under 200.
DH: No, they're over 300. Maybe even 350.
Me: (getting the package off the kitchen counter) According to the package they're 190.
DH: Well, they don't have much protein.
Me: Hmmm..... package says 6 grams. How much in 1/3 cup of trail mix?
DH: (gets the package from the pantry) 4 grams, but only 9 grams of sugar and you know I need to watch that.
Me: Cracker package says 3 grams.
DH: SILENCE
This morning the packages of crackers have mysteriously disappeared from the kitchen counter. I suspect the dog.0 -
@Naomi~My BFF relocated back to Australia after being in the states for 10+ years, they’re in Brisbane – I hope to make it there in the next couple of years to visit her. And yep, 40C is pretty hot – that’s our typical summers here in Texas actually. Once it hits 100F, it really doesn’t make a difference how hot it gets! I forget that our seasons are opposite.
@Alupinsk~A TDEE of 2243 sounds better, there is a forum on here that really explains TDEE that I have found really helpful. For weight loss he recommends eating 20% less than TDEE, more if you have more weight to lose. Here is the link to his forum post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/963088-level-obstacles-lose-weight-target-fat-easy
@Haley~TDEE is your Total Daily Energy Expenditure, which the total number of calories you burn in a day in everyday activities. If you follow the link I posted above, it will explain it in detail. A lot of people on MFP follow this for setting their caloric goals. I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother, I lost the grandmother (and last grandparent) I was closest to in October – I was in a funk for a while. We were extremely close so I can relate to how much you will miss her. It’s good to keep your mind occupied with exercise while you come to terms with your loss, but don’t forget to take care of you too by eating right and getting plenty of rest.
@L2T~LOL at your husband’s blindness when it comes to eating healthy. 800 calories left over at the end of the day? I wish! Your conversation last night cracked me up, but at least he listened and took the crackers (we think)! Oh, how I wish it were a long weekend for me but we’re open on Monday – but only 39 more actual work days and I’ll be on vacation for 14-days!
AFM~Had good session with trainer last night, did some different weight training then focused on some agility training to improve my running form. A couple of events cropped up – one was a gladiator type workout a friend at work wants me to do with her in early February and then my trainer wants me to do a weekend warrior event at my gym. The one at my gym is really intense, so I need to find out more – I’m strong but not THAT strong!
Friday Fitness~Epic fail with regards to cardio this week, it just didn’t happen because of the auditors. :explode: They are supposed to finish up their field work today, though so things should return to normal next week. At least I will be boss free this afternoon. I should be able to get to the gym all weekend and hopefully make up for lost time – lunch plans tomorrow with the friend I’m taking the cruise with in March, lots of planning to do.0 -
Hi Everyone! I showed my mean side for the first time on this site yesterday in the general friend section. I feel bad but I was rubbed the wrong way after a stressful day. Here is what happened. I asked if my fitbit was broken because it is constantly recording very high calories burned and I wanted to log calories burned correctly on this site. A person on my friends list responded that sound accurate for a full day but then proceeded to tell me I wasn't honest in logging and askin how bad do I want this. I felt accused of lying on my logs which I have not done I log every fast food, beer and healthy thing I eat. Yes, I don't log everyday because I don't always remember to by the Midnight deadline. I was really offended and snapped at the person. I was so offended that I almost left the site but then I remembered all the nice people here in this group and stayed. Maybe I overracted cause of the bad day I was having.
My school load is crazy this sememster I may not post much but will read. I have a 10pg paper due every week in one class. I have never wrote a paper that long before so will definately be a challenge.
I am planning to walk 5 miles today.0 -
Nothing exciting to report today.
Yesterday was a day from hell at work. My students were good but one of my aides kept overstepping her boundaries and trying to do my job and tell me what to do. I was getting really irritated with her and finally made a comment to her about it. She stopped but then for the rest of the day she kept whispering to the other staff and then looking at me. I swear sometime I think I work with a bunch of teenagers rather than a group of middle aged women. :grumble:
Scale still cooperating this morning. I am down to 232.4!!! It was a nice little good morning sunshine gift from my scale this morning. I will see what Monday brings.
I have a busy day today. I have some work to do at home this morning to complete for a last minute deadline for my boss, then some errands that must get done before I head out to work, and tonight we are having dinner at my parents house to celebrate my dad's birthday. It's a 3 day weekend for me and I am quite grateful for that. I am looking forward to getting a lot of stuff done.
My MOwMOw - LOL You got that right. I already flex and ask him if he is afraid of me yet? Again - he just looks at me like I am crazy and responds "UHM no!"
If you want, feel free to add me. I have been vegetarian for over 15 years. I have my diary open to my friends and from time to time post recipes on my blog. If you are looking for some yummy meatless ideas I have tons of them. I don't know much about gout but those attacks sound horrendous. :frown:
fullcrowmoon - Welcome. Sorry to hear about your dad's passing. It is always difficult when we lose the ones we love. (((HUGS)))
Naomi - You can still shed weight without exercising or minimal exercise. Just make sure you are staying within your MFP caloric range. I have several MFP friends on here who do not exercise and they are shedding that weight. I find it ironic that you commented about walking around with less weight. While doing my workout yesterday I was looking at my weights. Since starting I have shed 15 lbs. I decided to pick up a 10lb weight and a 5lb weight and hold them for a few minutes. I could not believe how heavy it was and difficult for me to hold for an extended period of time. It wowed me.
Laurie - You post was reassuring for me to read. I am sorry you were exhausted and had to take it down a notch. But at the same time it made me feel good knowing that I am not the only one who has to do that from time to time.
Hayley - I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. (((HUGS)))
nebrred - Welcome to our group. Congrats on your loss, that is fantastic!!!
Robyn, TraceyMarie - Welcome. Jump right in and join us!
Lauren - Sorry to hear your commute was crummy. What yoga workout did you do? I am assuming it was one at home. I am looking into some yoga dvds that I can do at home. Thanks.
Lives2Travel - I think that is great idea to prelog your calories for eating out. I may use your idea in the future. Good luck on Monday with your appointment. I literally LOLed at the conversation with your husband. Brian won't do MFP because he doesn't want to bother counting calories. (which is fine, it's not for everyone - but it definitely works for me) But he often discusses calories with me. I know he means well but sometimes it is a bit annoying.
Kah - What do you need to do for a gladiator workout and a weekend warrior event? Even though you don't feel that strong, you may surprise yourself and be able to do it! :flowerforyou:0 -
Good morning everyone. Hope all is going well in your worlds. I am trucking along. Feeling a little tired the last couple of days but still getting my walks in and a little done around the house. To be honest I had almost talked myself into skipping todays walk but the puppy just sat and stared at me all sad eyed at about teh time we normally leave and the guilt st in so off we went:laugh:
I am feeling pretty proud of the fact that i have consistently walked every day for two weeks now. I am getting my flow back. I am so unsure about how many calories I am burning though. My hrm says around 1000 every time give or take but mfp and other calculators I have checked all come in around 350-450 for the same amount of time. not sure which one to go with.I have been going with the average between them but am scared I will end up overeating. Well got a call adn have to go so have a great day everyone.:drinker: :flowerforyou:0 -
It's Friday so what am I doing for fitness, walking. Trying to walk at least 3km everyday and at least one 5km walk on the weekend. Have stuck to it every day this week so far… my goal is to walk 100km this month.
Hope you all have a great weekend!    :happy:0 -
@Tammy~Does your HRM tell you the average heart rate for your walk? If its detecting a pretty high heart rate for the majority of your walk you could very well be burning 800-1,000 calories. You could either track the calories its telling you and watch how many you eat back or maybe track 20% less than what it says. Kudos to you for being consistent and giving that puppy his exercise!
@Nettie~The gladiator workout is an outdoor boot camp. The weekend warrior competition at my gym is boot camp on steroids – really intense! My trainer is confident I can do it, we’ll see.0 -

Wow! Thanks for all the support for this curious cat!
First of all, for everyone who offered condolences on my Grandma's passing...thank you. It was much appreciated. I do need to confess, though, that I may have exercised too much because I hurt my hip. This is an old gymnastics injury from when I was in high school, where the bursa sac on my hip becomes agitated, causing a thing called bursitis. I'm not too clear on this but in high school, I went to the chiropractor and he did ultrasound treatments on it and that helped. I don't have the money to do that anymore, so I'm just taking it easy this weekend. The exercise helped, though, to keep my mind off my loss. Now, I'm concentrating on my other love...writing. I'm writing down all my good memories of Grandma to try not to miss her too much.
Also, thanks for explaining TDEE. I'm a little confused though because MFP says I should be eating 1490 calories a day and 20% of my TDEE is more like 2200. (5'4" female, 30 yrs old, 293 lbs. = feel free to tell me I figured this wrong! haha! It's entirely possible...English majors don't do that well in Math!)
Has anyone noticed that they are eating a TON of sodium? Rarely, I'm under my caloric goal, but I'm NEVER under my sodium goal. I heard that canned veggies can ben rinsed to reduce sodium...is this true? Cuz canned fruits and veggies are WAY cheap, but have a lot of sodium, even the low-sodium ones...any help would be appreciated!
In other news, TGIF!!!!! I'm sooo ready for this and next week to be over (Grandma's funeral is on Tuesday next week, so I'll probably be unavailable).I went back to work on Thursday. (I work Mon, Tues., and Thurs.) teaching gymnastics. We got a new tumble track in the gym which is basically a long skinny trampoline that we use to help the girls with their jumps and their backhandsprings. I tell you what: after missing Monday and Tuesday in grief for Grandma, Thursday was TOUGH! I got dizzy just climbing up on the tumble track. I pray every day for the time I can actually SHOW the girls how to do skills like handstands and cartwheels like I used to and I also pray that I not live too much in the past. When I was in high school, I was spending 12-20 hours a week in the gym...that's a part-time job!!! There's no way I'll get back to that in this crazy busy world I'm living in now, but those a skills that should be simple for someone with my background. Only thing is, my college didn't offer gymnastics, so when I turned 18, I quit gymnastics cold-turkey. I just quit going to the gym.
Now, I know that eating right and exercising are the goals to losing weight permanently and keeping a balanced healthy lifestyle. But darn it, it used to be soooo much easier....when Mom was cooking and I was in the gym all the stinkin' time! haha!
Anywho, I weighed myself today (which I have done every Friday for the last three weeks). I'm down 1.2 lbs...YAY!!!I haven't decided yet if I want to try to keep track of other measurements, especially my waist because that is my (literally) huge trouble area! I hate my stomach! BUT: it's great to see the number on the scale moving in the "right" direction...namely down!
So, I wanted to give a shout-out- to KAH: thanks for answering my questions in your post. I'll be sure to pass the info on to my friend E, who just recently joined MFP. She and I were both curious about TDEE, but she's new and didn't feel comfortable posting questions on here. I'll try to get her to join Robins Thread because of the great support and knowledgeable people here. I love you all!!!!

Now, I know that eating right and exercising are the goals to losing weight permanently and keeping a balanced healthy lifestyle. But darn it, it used to be soooo much easier....when Mom was cooking and I was in the gym all the stinkin' time! haha!
IMHO, don't stress about "losing weight".... just eat healthy (lots of green vegetables, lean meats, and healthy fats) and exercise, the weight loss will be an amazing side effect. Play with your macros to see what works best for you and stick with it. What makes you feel the best, healthiest, and most energetic. Stop obsessing about the scale going down. You'll stress yourself out and make it harder on yourself. If you want a nice gentle start, the Just My Size Yoga with Meghan Garcia rocks. It's still my goto and I even do it when I just want a nice stretch.
As for sodium, my Dr put me on a low sodium 1600mg/day diet and I can tell you that anything that comes in a can is going to be high in sodium, even if it says it's 'reduced sodium' on it. Try frozen veggies. They are just as cheap and the sodium isn't added. Any thing packaged or boxed at the manufacturer has lots of sodium (plus more sugar, fat, and will cost you more than making that food homemade).
Fresh fruit is hella better than canned. You don't just get the concentrated fruit and sugar you get the fiber that makes you feel full longer. Go seasonal. Right now apples, oranges, and bananas are pretty cheap.
ETA: ABSOLUTELY take your other measurements AND stand in front of the mirror in something a little formfitting and take some pics from different angles as well as some close ups of your face. You're going to want those later for not only bragging but for when the going gets a little rough and you need some motivation. You can do some before and after comparisons and put them around the house to keep your on the straight and narrow.0 -
Hey! I'm new! I have about 100 pounds to lose, give or take.
To meet my fitness goals, I joined the gym. I've actually been four times this week already, which is pretty impressive for me. I had been walking at 4.0 for 30 minutes at a 5% incline, but I recently found out it's detrimental to your health to hold on to the rails while you workout, so I had to slow it down to 3.2. I upped the incline to 6% to try to make up the difference. Also, today, I added strength to my workouts and today was leg day. I'm already feeling sore, so I know it'll be hard to get out of bed tomorrow!
If anyone has any tips or advice, I would really appreciate it. I'm kind of lost on this fitness journey. Also, if anyone wants to add me, that would be awesome!0
