    ran 7 miles today for my long run and am feeling a runners high (first time running 7) whooo hoo, and not far left for my goal--- I actually will probably meet the goal this week!

    Another beautiful, snowy day! Wore crampons for reliable footing so that I could take normal strides instead of the "ice rink tiptoeing turtle" walk.

    I'm so glad I joined this challenge. I'm following a 20 week training schedule to run a HM (not sure when yet) and this challenge is keeping me so motivated. I've just finished week 2, so the miles increase next week but nothing I can't handle. I hope there'll be a follow on thread to keep me going through Feb and beyond.

    I just wanted to express my thanks to all who are doing this challenge. You're all so motivating. :smile:

    Boo-hoo! Only managed 9.5 miles today. Planned 12, but had to slow down so much due to black ice, wind and snow that I ran out of time and had to head in.

    First 5K distance run achieved since 2002! This was a hilly course, up to the water tower.
    All runs are outside. My main exercise is on a mini-bike indoors, not represented here.

    One more solid week. This has tired me out! I went from zero miles a week to 20. After I reach this goal, I am probably going to stick to around ten miles a week. That is a nice happy distance. But for now, I have one more grueling week.

    I am late to this. I have been running every other day so far in January. I also do walks for exercise. I'm not including activities that were just walking in my challenge. So far I've run 29 miles this month which is pretty good for me because that's probably how much I ran combined the last 4 months of last year. I've got about 6 more runs to go this month. I'm going to set an overall goal of 55 miles for the month - so 25 more to go :).

    Go out and try again. If need be, walk briskly (that's all a slow jog is anyway).
