    BeastLady: Wow! Congrats and way to go! I can't wait to start my next round of BB! And I want to look into getting that book, sounds like something right up my alley, thanks for sharing!

  • First week finished well. A few weeks of rest did me very good. With my new nutrition scheme i see amazingly changes in my body.

    Get it girl! I've decided that I will be doing phase III of Body Beast in place of my Lean phase of Chalean Extreme!
  • Good to hear girl! Im stuck to this strength workout, this is the one that's work for me. Hope that there will soon come an new workout of Sagi. Body beast 2 or something. So that there is not a chance of getting bored and also for variation for my muscle to stimulate. Today is build Legs... not my cup of tea but i know i need to do it because the legs are one of the biggest muscle groups of the human body.

    Now a days i will log everything i eat. My overall settings are 50-25-25. This way i can track my progress every week. And change some variables if i need to. This way i can track what works for me and what not.

    Hi!

    I am supposed to get Body Beast in the mail and would like to start tonight, since its a scheduled lift night.

    In the past, I have done a little of New Rules of Lifting for Women, Strong Lifts 5x5, toyed with 5/3/1, and have been doing Nia Shanks Beautiful Bad@ss for the past yearish. I have been lifting regularly for a couple of years now and decided I wanted to try out a hypertrophy program now.

    I am excited!

    I plan to eat at a surplus, 1g protein per pound bodyweight, about 60g of fat and the rest falls to carbs.

    Hey ladies! Wow!!! Who needs cardio when you've got Bulk Legs???? This is by far my favorite leg workout ever! I followed it by a 30 min session of Les Mills Combat! Feeling strong!

    I agree. Just done Bulk Legs. Sweat like an otter! Have some light bicycle excercises the rest of the day. Good for cooling down :P

    Hi! I'm doing my 2nd round of Insanity at the moment and am thinking of doing Body Beast afterwards. Do you need a pull up bar for it? And would I get on ok if I have dumbells with changeable weights or is it better to have the free weights in different sizes (if this makes sense!!) I have some free weights but not much variety - only up to 5kg. Also I notice you need an EZ bar - I have a straight bar - would that do? Or should I get and EZ bar?

    Its42: When will you be finished with Insanity? No, you don't need a pull up bar or an EZ bar. I don't have the EZ bar, instead, I just use two free weights, works fine. In fact, that's how they show some of the exercises too, in case you don't have one. I also have the Weider adjustable weights that go up to 50lbs each and love them for this! You will find though that maybe for the first couple of times through the videos, you may need to pause it to switch weights, Sagi can move kind of fast at times. At first I didn't like it but I got used to it. You'll love the program, I'm sure!

    Today is Back/Bis for me. I'm still sore from Monday! Whoot! Whoot! Then, tonight, I teach my P90X class! Get it done ladies, your body will thank you for it!

    Hi! I just came across this post. I am going to be getting the Body Beast program this weekend and hope to be starting it soon. I am new to lifting. I have been doing Insanity but it has been harsh on my knees and shins. I am switching to weight training and my coach mentioned this program to me.

    Thank you for the info - that's great! I finish Insanity on 22nd March. I have 2 weeks where I'll do a mixture of Insanity Upper Body Training, Fast and Furious, and Sports Interval Training. Then I'm way for a week. I was looking to start 14th April

    Workout done and feeling good on this Blue Friday! GO HAWKS!!!!!!! I definitely went beast mode today! Build shoulders and Turbo Fire abs! Tonight, teaching P90X!

  • Just finished Chest/Tris yeah! Feel pumped right now. Tomorrow is leg day... Last weeks leg day i was'nt be able to walk for 4 day's no kidding! And i thought i did it on a slow, light and easy pace in comparison to my first round of build legs...

    Time for my post workout meal. CU and beast on.

    Agree, kickboxing is my sport for years. I'm also doing competion. Badr Hari is also training at our school. My boyfriend is a friend of his.

    What about my supps? i never used any supplements over the past years. But after reading more about bodybuilding in general i've concluded that i lack in getting enough protein. So i've ordered some whey. I will monitor my progress every week and see what it does to my body. Besides i use creatine for 6 weeks on /6 weeks off. This has proven to me im stronger in lifting compound exercises. You also need to measure every part of your body to see the best progress of your hard work.

    Im reading a new book about bodybuilding. Must say, it reads like a novel :p

    I just started with the lean Body Beast programme on Monday but I can't commit to 6 days a week so I'm giving myself the goal of a minimum of 3 times a week (any more is a bonus). Did chest/tris on Monday and just finished legs now (sat on the floor with jelly legs wondering how I will ever manage to get up the stairs to shower!!! haha).

    Way to go Christine! At least you're doing something! I hear ya on the legs! His leg workouts are no joke! Good job!

    I did Total Body today and I had quite the mishap! See, I use my resistance (tubular) band for pulls up because #1. I have no room for a pull up bar and #2. I get a better workout for my back. I have no problem wrapping it around one of the rafters in my basement; it's very sturdy but this morning, my band's life had run out. It snapped and because I was doing back, I was looking down and it came flying back, hitting both of my hands/knuckles! They immediately swelled up and turned black and blue! It hurt like hell!!!! I looked at the band and it was in fact worn down. So, from now on, I'll stick to bent over rows! lol This could have turned out A LOT worse!!!!!

    Well, this morning started with horrible cramps!!! You ladies know wheat I'm talking about. Ugghhh!!! I hate this TOM because I have no will power to workout, especially if it's cardio. But, I took some ibuprofen and did Bulk legs since I sweat like I'm doing cardio! I also added in push ups in between sets! Good news is, my cramps only seem last 1 day! How are you ladies doing?

    I have been doing Insanity and ChaLean Extreme for the past year and took the leap and ordered Body Beast today....super pumped!!! Question.....I've been using 10-15lb dumbbells.....should I buy the next sizes up or wait?

    Hey beastettes! Well, today was a cardio day for me; I did Les Mills Combat 60 Extreme Warrior Cardio. I absolutely LOVE that one! Man, do I break a sweat!

    SwimSoccerTax: Woo hoo! Welcome to the group! If you loved Chalean Extreme and the heavy lifting, you are going to love BB!!! I would say that for the first month, you should be ok with what you've got but you'll definitely want to invest in some other weights! The adjustable are great. I have the Weider weights and love them.

    hotmamma: Woo hoo! How were your results with the first round? Are you doing Huge or Lean?

    Hello ladies!!! Happy Friday! How is everyone doing? I got my new Polar FT7 yesterday and love it! Burned 630 calories in my kickboxing class and that wasn't at full potential! Not bad!

    Today is Bulk Shoulders for me and abs! What's on tap for you?

    Don't slow down just because it's the weekend!!! Got my kickboxing cardio in this morning and burned 657 calories!!! Get it done and feel great! Have a great weekend!
