Total weight lost in February: 2.8 lbs.
I've been gentle with myself. I typically eat back all but 500 of my exercise calories each day. This week, I allowed myself to dip under that threshold when I felt like it. My goal is to develop sustainable habits, and being completely rigid with myself all the time isn't exactly sustainable. It typically leads to wild extremes for me between excess and restriction. So I'm just trying to find balance. Being patient and being satisfied with my progress.
Since my weight loss has slowed (was consistently losing 2 pounds weekly), I've started measuring inches so I can see what's really happening. Combined with the body fat and body muscle measurement, it gives a much clearer picture.
I'll be traveling next Saturday and haven't figured out what I'll do about my weigh in. I'm tempted to take my scale, but don't want to risk damaging it and not really wanting to lug it around. We'll see. While I'm traveling is typically the hardest time I have staying on track, and this is my first trip since I started my program January 1. I'm giving lots of thought on how to keep myself on track. I think tracking my calories is key. I expect the exercise to remain manageable, I think I already have that figured out. It's the food. We'll see what next week's weight in brings.0 -

I love spring and summer...some fall but winter drags me down. I love walking outside after work and on weekends, but the sun is already setting by the time I get home in winter time, and I don't walk by myself when it's dark outside. Give me sunshine and warm weather.

2lbs down. A little bummed - I was doing so well with exercising every day and then I got sick! Haven't been to the gym for a couple of days, and even though I'm sticking with my 1200-calorie allotment, the lack of activity has hit my weight loss hard. Oh well, this is a marathon, not a sprint, and at least I didn't GAIN 1/2 a pound! And this really proves that for me, exercise is what makes the difference. Have a great week, everyone!0 -
