For me well... I joined the military 6 years ago and I'm getting out soon and I put on all this weight since leaving home.... I kind of want to get in really good shape so when I face people from my past I'm not embarassed0

Number 1 shallow reason: I don't want to be the fat mom my son gets teased about.
I am single by choice right now but when I am ready to date I want to do it with confidence.
I want to feel awesome when I am naked.
I want to be strong and know that I am the hottest I can be.0 -
Lots of reasons. To stop hiding behind my arms and others or have get into that "skinny pose" in pics. So when my husband calls me his "hot wife", I actually believe him. So my husband starts bragging about his "hot wife" to his friends all the time like he used to. To feel comfortable in my own skin again. To love wearing mini skirts, bikinis, shorts, tight dresses, etc again. To one day be better dressed than DH because I wear said clothing. To show my siblings that you don't have to starve to lose weight and that it can be done on a tight schedule. To someday be a MILF (no kids yet!). So if I ever run into my fat, borderline-abusive ex boyfriend he ONCE AGAIN regrets the way he treated me. To lift more than some of the guys at my gym. To have it all - smarts, strength, and beauty.0

I wanted to look hot for my husband! I wanted to be able to run around on the beach with my kids without worrying about how much skin I was showing! I used to be hefty, and for once, I just wanted to be the pretty girl, instead of my sister to be honest.

I'm with a lot of other people that I really do want to just physically excel is so many things for once in my life. I still to this day have not been able to do a single pull up.
That being said, I just want to be that sexy hot guy that women actually look at and want to give attention to. I've always been the fat guy that women just want to leave them alone, and I'm not talking about being at bar. I'm talking just trying to ask someone to grab a cup of coffee.
To be the man women want to be with and the man that other guys want to be.
Honestly too, I'm really not that shallow of a person but when I'm looking to find a relationship to actually feel like I'm in the same league as some of the women I'm interested in. And that is not because of their amazing body or looks only, but because we will both enjoy fitness and doing our best to stay in shape. Enjoying more physical activities together as I've fallen in love with pushing my body to the limit. Someone who will be supportive and maybe even a little fun competition with it too.0 -

All those girls in the past that said I was too fat for them. I want to see there faces when I hit my goal. There is already one she slipping. I knew when she first saw me she was a shallow type. All I said was in due time you will be bending over.0

I want to be a hot mom :-) I also want my husband to think "Damn I am lucky to be with her" and wnt his friends to be jealouse, thats my shallow reassons my top reasson is my mom passed from cancer and being overweigh was a contributing factor that and smoking and I never want my kids to go through the Pain i did, she passed at 53, i was 26 when I lost her 2 years ago.0

one of my original reasons for losing weight was to rub it in my ex's face (which admittedly i did once when i was drunk and felt like a complete tool afterward), along with getting in shape so i could pick up other girls. they werent the only reasons, but they played their part
things change though, although im still losing weight so i look better its more for myself than others now, and me and my ex are on good terms, shes actually been losing a bit of weight too
im past caring about the "shallow" label though. everyone cares about looks to some degree its just about who's willing to admit it0 -
Because even though I might be ten years older than the other moms from my son's kindergarten class, I don't want to look that way.0

I, til this day, have NEVER had confidence issues. My self-esteem has ALWAYS been 100%. So I guess, to look even better while feeling that. and to be able to PHYSICALLY do things I couldn't do before. Self esteem has nothing to do with what I can actually do with my body.

To be able to look up when I walk by a full length window or mirror
To not feel sick for a week when I see a picture or myself on video
To actual have family pictures taken done so my daughter knows I was there when she was little.0 -
i actually had someone say to me at the gym (she hadnt seen me in a while and i had probably dropped 50+lbs at the time) you must have hated looking at yourself in the mirror and love it now.
i stood there flabbergasted teetering on the edge of telling her to literally stfu and remaining silent (i stayed silent and shrugged my shoulders)
im a normally quiet guy until i know you and i can discern which of the wacky thoughts in my head arent going to cause you to call the police on me and yell stranger danger. self confidence has never been an issue. ive always been a debbie downer. its not like i cried in the mirror. i accepted the fact that my being overweight was my own fault and not anyone elses.
the only reason i am doing this is to play basketball better than i ever have.0 -

This sounds really odd, but whatever.
I spend so much time outdoors and i see so many beautiful things and i want to fit. I want to find myself attractive enough that i feel that i belong in such naturally lovely places.
