    Hi everyone,
I'm hoping you can help me with some research. I am studying the diet habits of various people to see if there are any correlations. I am studying my coworkers and friends but I would like information about you if you are willing to supply it. I'm working off of the honor system here. If you can please reply to this post with the following information.

    1) age: 20's, 30's, 40's, etc...I don't need actual ages
    2) approximate weight
    3) physical location. state is fine
    4) activity level. Sedentary, beginning exerciser, moderate, advanced exerciser, sporadic, etc...
    5) How often do you exercise?
    6) Do you eat breakfast?
    6) what is your largest meal of the day?
    7) how many times a day do you eat?
    8) how much water do you drink?
    9) how do you deal with food temptations?
    10) what is your typical restaurant meal?

    Thank you,
    Shannon

    1) 35
    2) 170
    3) Seattle, WA
    4) I'm not sure what your categories mean, have no idea what "advanced exerciser" means. I work out with intensity 6 days a week for 1-1.5 hours at a time. I guess I'm moderate or advanced idk
    5) 6 days a week for 1-1.5 hours at a time.
    6) Yes if breakfast is defined as eating within 2 hours of getting up.
    7) I eat about 5 times a day
    8) If you mean water water I don't drink water. I drink fluids throughout the day though, don't really track it other than urine color and thirstiness.
    9) I don't experience them really and if I do I imagine I would just eat them and log it
    10) Typical restaraunt meal is a big plate of sashimi or a bowl of pho

    6) Every day
    6.2) Dinner
    7) 4 - 5, including snacks
    8) at least 3L, sometimes more but around there
    9) I don't have them - I am on the mindset to not deny myself things, I just control how often I eat them; also not keeping "junk" in the house means I usually don't want it. For example, I stopped buying pop and then when my SO did buy it for having other people over I didn't even drink any of it.
    10) If I go out, I go all out . . . . a big burger and fries is my favourite, though.

    1) 25 years old
    2) 182lbs as of this morning.
    3) Canada - Sasktchewan.
    4) Moderate
    5) This varies. Some weeks I exercise once or twice. Some weeks - everyday. On average I would say I exercise 3-4 times per week.
    6) Somedays. It depends on my calories for the prior day. If i ate over my calories - breakfast is what I skip. If I am good on calories and I feel hungry, I will eat breakfast.
    6) Supper.
    7) 3-4 times per day.
    8) Lots. This also varies depending on my mood, and my exercise. Typically about 3-4 500ml bottles.
    9) I deal with temptations by having a healthy alternative. Ex - if I am craving sweets, I will often have fruit or yogurt. If i am craving chocolate, I might have a fibre 1 bar.
    10) Typically at a resturant, I will have the grilled chicken burger with fries.

    Thank you,
    Shannon

    Hi,
    Here's my self reported info.

    1) 34
    2) 153
    3) CO
    4) moderate
    5) I walk everyday (2-6 miles depending), I run 3 days a week (7-10 miles weekly) and I lift progressively heavy weights three times a week
    6) 6-7 days a week I do.
    6) Varies from day to day. Sometimes breakfast is my highest calorie count meal, sometimes dinner.
    7) Usually three main meals with random snacks thrown in.
    8) Just water, rarely unless I've really sweated heavily, then one or two 8oz glasses. I mostly hydrate through tea, coffee, milk, fruits and diet soda.
    9) Carefully and sometimes I give into them but in smaller quantities. I also don't let it affect my eating for the rest of the day/week/month like I once did.
    10) I eat out about once a month and it varies by restaurant. Crispy chicken sandwiches, BLTs, BBQ and pizza would be the most regular meal items including the fries and other normal sides.

    You're welcome,
    brower

    8) About 3 liters
    9) If its something I really, really like and want, I have it. I'll try a little bit of something first to see if that satisfies my craving. I try not to look at food as taboo. Generally through the day I aim for a balanced diet, but don't deny myself treats.
    10) Before losing weight, burger, fries, multiple beers. Now, I rarely eat out, but typically will order a side salad and a lean protein, any sauces or dressing on the side. I still allow myself a beer, and maybe a few fries off my husbands plate. I try to enjoy eating out without going overboard because we do it so infrequently.

    1) 30s
    2) 155 (goal is 140, should be there about Octoberish)
    3) NJ, USA
    4) complicated... not the least bit new to exercise, not currently doing it now.
    5) Rarely atm - should work harder on that.
    6) Yes - eggs + toast or rice, or yogurt + jam + flax seeds, usually.
    6) I guess if you combine my 2x lunches into 1 then lunch. Calorically I eat 4x meals trying for approx 350 kcals each, maybe dinner goes over.
    7) 4x
    8) I often forget to. I usually have 12-16 oz at some point during the day, maybe 2x that, and then a med iced coffee with extra cream + sugar at some point and then often alcohol at night.
    9) I believe firmly that those don't exist. I think you should eat a cookie if you want a cookie. But eating a box is probably an issue. I believe in the 80% full rule (just eat until you're 80% full and you'll be ok)
    10) Depends on what restaurant. Sunday I had garlic/pepper oil ramen and fried rice, Saturday I had Chinese soup dumplings, fried buns, pork & bamboo stir fry, fried noodles... I like sushi and pho best maybe so I go for those 2 things most often. Oh, and beer!

    6) Do you eat breakfast? Very rarely
    6) what is your largest meal of the day? Usually lunch, sometimes dinner
    7) how many times a day do you eat? Usually two, but once in a while three
    8) how much water do you drink? Aim for 80 ounces a day
    9) how do you deal with food temptations? Focus on my goal, remind myself of why I am doing this. If I decide to have it anyway, eat it slowly and enjoy every bite. Then just cut back elsewhere or do extra exercise.
    10) what is your typical restaurant meal? There is no typical (although my favorite is seafood)-- I order whatever I want, but try to stick to things that will re-heat well because I usually only eat half of whatever I am served. Yesterday I had chicken red curry with white rice at a Thai restaurant. Today I had cod with horseradish mashed potatoes and asparagus. I will have bbq chicken on Thursday (catered lunch at work).
