Any ideas on a swap for the soy sauce?? I'm allergic.
What about subbing the soy for liquid aminos? It tastes just the same and 0 calories0 -
For those of you that have made this, is 4 hours on low long enough to cook the chicken? I'm asking because anytime I've made chicken in the crockpot, it's either 3-4 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.
I agree with you. Needs to be high for the 3-4 hour directions I think.
Sounds yummy - can't wait to try it! Thanks for sharing!0 -

OR....
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce mixed with 1 tablespoon water
OR....
Blend together 4 tablespoons of low sodium clear, seasoned beef broth, 1 ½ cups of simmering water, 4 tablespoons of molasses, a tablespoon of cider vinegar, a teaspoon of sesame oil and a pinchful of pepper. Once all the ingredients form 2 cups worth of uniform liquid, store in well sealed containers for as long as you want!0 -

This sounds really good!! I have one question...I haven't ever really cooked with a crockpot, so would i just fill it to cover the chicken with water or what? Sorry if that is a weird/dumb question, but like I said...I'm kinda new to the whole cooking scene....
That was exactly my question, LOL. I am new in this too.
Can I use chicken breast with the bone on it?0 -

You don't need to add water, unless a specific recipe calls for it. The juice from the pineapple, soy and chicken will be all it needs! And yes, you can use boned in breasts...in fact, most meat that's cooked on the bone comes out even juicy-er!!
Hope that helps :happy:0 -
Marking for later!0

Sounds yummy. Will add this to my next grocery list.0
