My EX used to tell me I wouldn't be as attractive to him if I lost weight. :noway: Talk about incentive to not do anything about my weight!
Funny, my EX said the opposite... hence why he's an ex.0 -
So do men prefer the Jillian Micheals body type? Not seeing to many curves there... Whenever I see her, for some reason the words "ironing board" pop into my head...
had to LOL when i read this: JM was recently on the cover of one of the fitness magazines that i subscribe to and my hubby kept flipping the magazine over so the cover was down -- it was on a table in the livingroom -- i would pick it up, read a bit, put it back, but i kept noticing it was turned upside down and i knew he was the one who kept doing it. So i asked why he kept doing this and he said he couldnt take it... she was making him think impure thoughts LMAO! ... So yeah, not only do *I* think Jillian is a fine example of fitness, apparently my hubby does as well!! LOL!0 -

I feel kind of screwed in a way because my ultimate goal is to be ultra fit with *muscles*. I want definition and strength! I don't care if men don't like it.0 -
Christina Hendricks on mad men,.......Enough said
I'm a straight woman --- and I agree. She's hot.0 -
And to be clear...I didn't do it because I like wearing women's clothing or because I wanted to make her feel like crap. I was just psyched that I lost enough weight to fit into the jeans of someone I felt was in really good shape. Try explaining your way out of that without feeling like more of a douche bag.
ROFL!!!
You were just having a fun moment and it crashed and burned b/c that is almost sacred to a woman LOL....
You poor thing hahhaa.
It's a blessing and a curse. People in grocery stores alway ask me to get them something off the top shelf!!!! LOL.
Re: media and perception of beauty. It works. If it didn't they wouldn't spend millions upon millions of dollars creating those images for the public to pursue and warp our minds around. Perfection must be unattainable so that we may chase the carrot for perpetuity to consume the maximum amount of money in order to get that carrot.
Kind of like making products with in built obsolescence...concepts of beauty changing and having a complex relationship with fashion just ends up being a super speeded up sick cocktail of "screw your humanness" thank you.
I'm so glad I have my own personal brain and can pick out the taint thought by thought.
P.S.
Clothing looks better on taller thinner body types, it's a good hanger.
Yeah? Try finding pants long enough. I can only get them from Victorias Secret's catalog, they are the only ones I can find that go up to 36" inseam. It really stinks sometimes. I would love to buy clothes off the rack on clearance just once!!!!
LOL I only have a measly 32" inseam to your luscious 36" but my point still rings true!
It *looks* better...but obviously those longer inseams are rarer and above average in the population.
So you know, count your blessings silly woman!0 -

Dare i say when you get to the weight/condition you're aiming for that men WILL be attracted to you, not because you are thin/curvy/muscular, but because you are confident, upbeat and happy! Now THAT will attract and KEEP a man! Having a hot bod is the icing on the cake!0 -

My husband loves her!!0 -
I guess it depends on the man! My husband likes it round on the bottom! TG because growing up I got so picked on about the apple bottom only to find now that I am older and have a man these things became in style! lol0

I agree - she's hot. Yet somehow every time I see her picture or on tv, my back aches. Those boobies are huge.0 -

I love a little gut on a guy. It's cuddly and I love to rub my husbands all the time.0 -
I'm not picky, I'm very often attracted to all shapes and sizes xD0

Forgive me for being lewd, but compare the average weight of a runway model to the average weight of a porn star. Im sure you'll find a good 25%-50% difference in poundage
Also breasts, butts, thighs, and hips aren't not made of fat
Fun Fact: If you want to get scientific, the average man prefers a woman who's waist to hip ratio is 70:100. Depending on your genetic distribution of bodily materials, that could range BMI wise from "underweight" to "overweight" (and WHR is also a better indicator of health)0 -

I mentioned hip ratios but thanks for the specifics...
And yeah, breasts have a lot of fatty tissue. Thighs and hips? Also love fat. So any fat on a woman..even if THINNER will go there. It doesn't go to her toes. Or her eyeballs. Or her hair.0 -

Ah yes, but those abundant adipose deposits (other than a less developed musculature and slightly different skeleton) are the largest sex defining secondary sexual characteristic on a female! That is to say, a girl that is too skinny girls has a degree of masculinization that I personally find works against my attraction to the opposite gender.
Anyho, I like curves :flowerforyou:0 -
I have always thought skinny girls are prettier.
I dont like curves and if I ever had a big butt, i think I would cry!
I'm straight btw! lol
but anyway...guys always tell me that they like "something" on a body...which I understand...but still, I dont know if they were just being nice to me at the time...haha.
Although, I def got more attention when I was "thicker".:ohwell:0 -
I can't afford to be picky, I am into any woman that gives me the time of day.
I thought the same thing about myself!
Well, not that I'm into any WOMAN that gives me the time of day...:laugh:0 -
