I was actually able to complete level one on day one!!! I posted last night that I have never been able to complete level one the first time but I DID!!!! I am excited.
I did level one at about 1:00 this afternoon. I do not have a tape measure to do my measurments but I am going to try and get one this weekend!!
I will state though that my starting weight is 202 pounds. I know that inches count more than pounds, but hey.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
P>S> How does everyone log this. I used the calorie finder thing I put 25 minutes of circuit training, general and it said I burnt 305 calories. I dont know how to log that as I am new here. any help would be appreciated0 -
Hey MusicGirl...we are on the same path. I am 166(now) and my GW is 150! :-) Best of luck to you!0

Congratulations on completing Day 1!!! Way to go!! I log in 20 minutes of circuit training based on a number of recommendations from others who have been doing this longer. From what I understand the calorie burn will be different for everyone based on weight. I hope this helps!0 -
I did the whole level 1 work out!! It kicked my butt and I can barely move but I feel good, think I might do some belly dancing tonight!!0
-
I am new too all of this, so I honestly dont know if you have started a forum or even how to look for it. If you have can you please tell me how to find it so that I can check in everyday?

1st day of shred down. 29 to go. Going to the gym in the am with Kristin then off to shopping, Hopefully I can walk then on to day 2. I must say that this workout kicked my booty! Had a little more energy right after but now I'm all tuckered out. No more walking up and down the steps tonight. I might have to crawl. See ya tomorrow.0

I am glad I am not the only one who feels like I have been run over!! I do have a question--what size weights did everybody use today?0

I'm a little late responding to this....I've had mine for a year as well and excited to actually use it now! measurements will come tomorrow!0 -
3 lb weights. Kind of regret that though... I think I'll try to muscle through it though and see what happens. When I can no longer lift my arms, I'll switch to 1 lb?0
-
im using 5lb weights..i was going to go all macho man and use 10 lb weights but quickly changed my mind0
-
I started with 3 lbs also, I am going to try to muscle through with them. I would love to be able to use the 5 lbs in a few days though.....0
-
Well Day 1 done! I got threw it fine. I found that my posture wasn't like it should be so my hubby corrected me. I was very proud of myself I got through it with one 5 sec break. My thighs BURN!!!!
WAY TO GO DEB! See ya at 6am!0 -
Just a tip from someone who also has PT's & PFT's in the family: I've been doing hard-core workouts for almost a year now: when I do JM I will NOT exceded 5 pound dumbbells since the risk of injury is too great. Using more weight does not necessarily mean you'll burn more, you may end up hurting yourself (especially since you're repeating moves back to back). I switch between 3 & 5 lbs & am seeing the difference and still getting stronger. Sure, some moves you may be able to handle 8 or 10 pounds but why risk hurting yourself & then NOT being able to workout for a few days or even weeks!
I love working out too much to jeopardize myself: I want to look good, I want to feel good & while it may take a little longer it means the results will be easier to maintain & longer-lasting :flowerforyou:0 -

Failed miserably at starting this challenge. Had 'Fat Friday' at my Ma n Pa's yesterday and when I got home I was still stuffed!
Couldn't even manage to start my Zumba for the Wii, which I got my hot little hands on yesterday!
So today will be day one but I will be doing level 3 (I joined a different challenge but seemed to be the only one posting!). I'll go back to level one on the 10th, for 10 days and level 2 for the last 10 days!
Starting weight = 184.5lbs
(I'll do my measurements later today. I need my breakfast now!!!).
