19.95 a month for LA Fitness. Yes it is worth it. I wish they had actual squat cages, and their leg press machines had 2 rows per side to load weights, but other than that everything is always clean and in good working condition.0

60$ a month at Epic Fitness (I received a 20% lifetime membership discount when I signed up since I did it on their 2nd anniversary). I think it's worth it despite the fact that there's no pool or unlimited classes. I love the staff and the equipment. It's a tiny gym so it all feels personal. I've met the owner several times, she works out regularly when I'm there.
I am looking at joining either the YMCA or a recreation center to be able to do some swimming as well. That's probably going to set me back another 60-100$ a month if I were to do that. I would like to join the Ottawa Athletic Club but I think they charge even more than that.0 -
£12.00 for a 24 Hour Gym! its actually called THEGYM0

£17.99 for Lifestyle Fitness, open 6am - 9pm, all classes included. Great layout and vibe when I'm in there. The staff are excellent too. Used to pay £25 each session for a Personal Trainer but thought that was too expensive so stopped and research my own workout plans now.0

$10 a month at Planet Fitness. They have just the right amount of weights and machines for what i need, plus it's 5 minutes from my house.0

Local equivilent of a YMCA. $40/month. Pool, hot tub, sauna (I live in Northern New England. You want these things there), 2 weight rooms - one machine, one with an impressive collection of freeweights, indoor and outdoor basketball court, racketball courts, fitness room with a good floor for classes, spinning...
I swim and lift, so that's all I really use. The locker room is clean.0 -
30$/ month which includes classes
We love our gym.
They have a large lot, so parking is easy.
It's local & and the members at this location are really pleasant, the other location we used to frequent had a lot of neighborhood kids & it was kind of unruly & distracting to work out.
There are 3 squat racks so there's never a long wait for that, & there's never *any* wait for the rest of the equipment.
Open 24 hrs except weekends, so it suits our schedules very well. All 4 of us (mom, dad & 2 adult kids) go to this gym as well as my cousin...I just spotted him there last week =D
edited for typos0 -
£70 per month for a strength training, strongman gym. Sounds a lot but each session is like a 1-2-1 with the trainer, he is always around to correct form, add new exercises. Max is 8 people per session, sometimes just me
Oh and there is no smiths machine in sight!
Used to pay £43 for a gym with unlimited classes and a pool but the gym is totally crap and I never went to the classes. I pay £5 each time I want to use the pool or just go in the sea abut 2 mins walk away0 -
Mines a bit different. My health insurance has a deal with local gyms. I pay $25 to the health insurance plan and that gets me a card that gets me into 25-30 gyms in the area. That said, I mostly go to the Y with that card. My local Y is about $40 a month, so my $25 is a great deal.0

$33/month; small, privately owned gym; free weights, weight machines and cardio equipment; worth it - close to home, 24/7 access, clean. No frills but you can access a trainer by appointment. Really a gym for self-directed individuals; never crowded at 4am when I like to go - just the regulat 4 - 5 of us so we are never in each others way.0

$175/month, but for me, it's totally worth it.
It's a gym in my building where I work, full laundry service and permanent lockers, so I never have to bring a gym bag. All toiletries available (shampoo, soap, razors, hairbands, deodorant, lotion, etc.). Steam room, basketball court, pilates, golf simulator, massage room, juice bar, kick-*kitten* classes. really, really high end. I work an extremely stressful job (12 hours/day) so it is the only way I can run out, take a class or workout, and be back in my office (showered) in under an hour.0 -
The gym I go to has a huge range of options, gym only, class only, gym plus class, gym plus classes plus personal training etc. It starts at £15pcm and goes up to £120. I don't actually bother paying a monthly rate because they also let you pay as you go if you want classes, which is all I use it for as I have a gym at home. Classes range from £2 for half hour ones up to £6 for an hour of something more specialist. It's pretty good for around here, and like other people have commented, I go to a gym for 'normal' people, there aren't professional body builders and fitness models strolling around the place! We are all just normal folk.
For me it is worth going to the classes, I really enjoy doing yoga on my non-lift days with a room full of other people. It can get a bit all-absorbing when you just lift alone at home all the time otherwise!0 -
34 a month at the Y. Includes everything including classes (they have a huge selection of these), weights, cardio and pool0
-
$40/month for the YMCA here. It's worth it, mostly bc the nearest competitors are a double ( a hospital-affiliated wellness center) or triple (nearest Crossfit box).0
-
$19/mt, World Gym. Unlimited classes, childcare, sauna, tanning included. Open 24 hours except weekends. They have two locations near me, one close to work, once close to home, that I divide my time between. Definitely worth it for me.0

That's pretty awesome. I wonder if my health insurance has something similar because that would be soo neat!0 -
My YMCA is $65 a month. I think it's worth it because I don't have the room or motivation to work out at home and they offer so many options. I love the ability to pick up and drop classes whenever I want and I can set them up as appointments in my phone (more accountability). My only complaints with the Y are the locations (not a huge deal, more an annoyance) and the group classes I can get to are slowly moving away from Zumba/Hip Hop/Dance and into Body Shred/Ripped and others like that. And the dance based classes are getting moved to times I can't make (8am-4pm or 7-9pm).0

Ymca ~$90/month family including adult and kids classes, child watch and monthly child care for date night. MMA gym bought in bulk, works out to be just under $10/visit. Well worth it. Useless cable cost more.0

I pay $23/month (weird amount) for a 24 hour key access gym with the best equipment around! They also have towel service and a free coffee & tea station. The only drawback is that it is small and sometimes I trip over the equipment and/or other memebers .0

$40 a month at Goodlife. Totally worth it when I'm going 2 to 3 X a week as I should be.....0
