What would I have done differently? Gone to bed earlier...I need to get more sleep!

Hey everybody! I had a reality check yesterday. I had lab work done last Friday and got the results yesterdays. Some were good and some were bad. Dr. told me I have to have lab work done again in 3 months and if the bad things have not improved she was going to try new meds (probably insulin) for by type 2 diabetes. I do not want to go on insulin! I do not want to die! It seems everything on me is falling apart. I have been trying to motivate myself to stop with the bad and start with the good. Today is a new day & a new beginning.

Rossergirl: I am type 2 diabetic and have been for a few years now. I have never been on any meds. Weight loss is the key. Get that weight off and your numbers will improve. I can't express any more that EXERCISE is key. Your belly fat will subside with exercise.
I have beat type 2 after losing 24 pounds. You will see results on your next check up.

Hey everyone! I didn't catch up on all the posts but caught a few of the 'add ons'. Glad to see everyone is working hard on their weight loss and so supportive of each other. Good to get acquainted with the newbies and welcome to our group. We've been crazy busy but things are starting to slow down for me in the next few weeks. Shingles are much improved and ready for our new life of retirement at the end of the month! Life is good!0
