Obesity in general I think is a severe problem. Society now accepts it. It is " ok", In women it is almost glorified as now we use the terms "BBW" and "Curvy". Why change if we have the You are fine the way you are mentality? Just my thoughts. As far as kids go.. It is unfortunate that we as society have become a fast food, junk food nation. Parents allowing them to eat junk all day and play sit down video games. We live in such a hurry up world. What ever happened to healthy home cooked meal and sit down as a family at the table?

I agree, D. Wholeheartedly. When I'm home...we eat real meals. My kids get fast food only when absolutely necessary, and then it is still monitored. I can't always control what they have when I am not with them, but you can damn sure bet I do when they are and that they understand healthy food choices.
My daughter has seen my own struggle with weight loss - and she understands more so than most - which helps, I think.
Again, it comes down to the parents....and them making the right lifestyle choices.

Did you hear about the nurse who entered a contest for the most prominent veins? She didn't win but she came varicose. LOL

Just to inject a bit of GOOD NEWS and HAPPINESS here. I got engaged today. The ring is GORGEOUS!

Also, all of you, have yourselves a better night tonight. Sending you happiness.

Oh, and another thing to add to the b**tching and moaning. We have to move the ENTIRE psych department of our ER tonight before 6am, so they can put bullet proof glass around our nurse station. Umm...we have been here for TWO years and have had at least three incidents (that I can think of off the top of my head) of patients reaching/lunging over the friggin desk to harm us. Gee...thanks for looking out. You're just NOW getting around to ensuring our safety?!

Now back to admiring my ring and spreading engagement happiness to all. *bounces in joy*

Ok I just read a forum post on here. Someone who is afraid to lose weight because her boobs might get smaller. Seriously? I have heard it all now. I guess if having big boobs outweighs being healty and fit so be it. *kitten*. My boobs got smaller and firmer and they look way better than when they were big.

I went from an almost DD to a B/C depending on the bra. Yeah, I wish I still had my size - but I will take my health ANY DAY....
Hence my rant on my wall....figure it out or get out.
