... While I was working the DH went out to pickup dinner and what???... returned not with dinner but with our daughter who flew in for my birthday and is going to No California with us! They REALLY got me. I was so not expecting it and was just overwhelmed and I still can't believe she is here.
Have a run planned for the morning before we head out and at least one run over the weekend in No CA!

@fabrine & skippygirlsmom - I don't run with the stroller much anymore now that they are older. I mostly just fit in runs around when my husband can watch them - ie early morning mostly. They are too heavy now (100lbs+ when both in the double Bob) and get bored after 3-4 miles.
I admire all of you that run in the snow and ice. We are spoiled here in CA and only have to deal with the occasional rain.

I went a new route today, and it ended up being one of my longest runs but it was so nice (around a lake that my brother kindly dropped me off at and then back home) that I barely noticed the distance.

So if i can manage 6 miles this weekend I get my 20 mile minimum for the week. It's warm today, so i may be able to get the girl in the stroller to run to her swimming and ballet classes. I hate it when it's dark all the time.

I read so much about running injuries that I'm starting to get really paranoid about the topic now. On Wednesday evening I noticed my shin hurt, so I took a few days off of running. I was actually ~90% sure that I just bumped my leg that day without really registering it (helping with a renovation, including carring some heavy, unwieldly things around), but yeah, paranoid about running injuries... After 3 days without running (and a nice colorful bruise forming on said shin) I ventured out for a short run today. Fortunately, it seems I was just overreacting and everything is fine

Thanks! I've been what I'll call minor hurt before, but this is the first time it's even hurt to walk and it's been 5 days. I tried to run yesterday pain started immediately. So I'll wait. My daughter and I were supposed to run a 5K tomorrow, she'll run I'll cheer.
