It's Christmas Eve, yay! I have last minute gift wrapping and other chores, so I'm fueling my morning and afternoon with a steady stream of homemade mochas and probably a Starbucks run when I brave the shopping masses for some more darn tape and gift tags. I said I wasn't going to drink my calories, but I'm guessing I'll hit 1,000 on frou frou coffee alone, lol!

Dinner tonight will be giant steaks as big as our heads, baked potatoes slathered in sour cream and butter, and a Jim Beam sour for me and Jagermeister for hubby! I'm a grown up, so I don't have to eat my veggies if I don't wanna, :p

This post is meant as a joke, right? You guys aren't seriously going to spend the holiday thinking about how many calories you need to consume to meet a goal, I hope.

i am deadly serious about my food consumption on holidays...

    Hey!

That's pretty much what we all agreed on here.

Same with the bannan creme pudding- and weird greek baclava dessert they fed me that they are calling it the Battle Star Gallatica dessert... which was described to me as
    - "an angel *kitten* in my mouth- because it's heavenly"

and which point I texted back
    "I"m on my way"

I'm not sure what was in that. but it was pretty good.

    Butter,sugar,nuts,honey,phillo dough......next on my baking lust.list I mean.

We did our Christmas with the kids today. For breakfast I had scrambled cheese eggs, hash browns, sausage, and half a waffle and a peppermint mocha. That rings in at around 1200 calories.

Later I plan to have a peppermint ice cream sundae, some oatmeal cream cookies, a buckeye or 6, some toffee.

Dinner will be home made roasted tomato soup with pesto mozzarella grilled cheese. There will also be wine. (Unless the hubby decides we need to order sushi so he can use his new light saber chopsticks.)

Then during the movie, I'll have popcorn and hot chocolate spiked with caramel vodka.

Maybe 2500-3000 for the day. My typical goal is 1590.

    Need more pics.

Still only at 1500 calories today, it's 2pm and I'm not even hungry (I had a piece of harvest cake for lunch and some buttercream tasting from my second Yule log for tomorrow), so 4000 is starting to be doubtful.

I think I'll have to go for a multi-day goal as well, though I'm waffling on the number. (Note to self - waffles sound good!). Christmas Eve isn't really a thing in my family, but I will be drinking a double-wide bottle of Chardonay as I wrap presents while mindlessly eating a tub of Harry London chocolates and watching the Grinch (the cartoon, dammit) today.

Tomorrow will be croissants and lots of cream in my coffee for breakfast. Then comes the tough part to count - snacking. Cheese and crackers. Little weenies. Chips. Sugar cookies. More chocolate. Dinner is roast turkey breast with mash potatoes, green beans, and biscuits. Then we go to the cousins where the table will be plastered with every dessert imaginable, right next to the second table full of wine. I fear calorie counting might be impossible.

THEN, Friday is my birthday. Diner for breakfast - I will try to be good and get an omelette, but it will have cheese & I'll eat all the home fries and bacon and buttered toast. Popcorn and soda at the movies. Then Italian restaurant for dinner. Penne ala vodka? Ravioli? Maybe a steak? Who knows? And who cares, really, as long as I have cheesecake and a cappuccino for dessert???

Have a very merry everyone! I will be back for pictures!
