I'm down for this. I just turned 30 two weeks ago, I have 4 children. I am 5 ft 3 and 187 lbs. My goal weight is 130. I dealt with a lot of depression when I was still with my ex-husband and was up to 210 lbs. Now that he's been out of my life for awhile, I'm getting back on track. The first 20 lbs came off within 2 months of him being gone and I'm back to being active and not drinking my calories, but I hit a roadblock somewhere around 185 and it's coming off super slow now. I re-married back in September and couldn't be happier.
I fish and hunt, and I used to ride in rodeos, but a knee injury and surgery stopped that and makes exercise difficult because I cannot run. I don't mean that I'm too lazy to (though I have been in the past) but I have arthritis and orthopedic surgeon gave me a no-go for any impact exercise.

I am in. That will put me at 220. And on track for where I need to be.
  • 5'11½" - 185lbs - Target weight is 175lbs, ideal weight is 165lbs. Day after the Superbowl is the day I start training for the half-marathon in April so 10lbs in February would be a perfect goal!
  • How's everyone doing? I'm two pounds down. Goal 130, 144 by March 1. I just got EAS complete protein mix and make a shake with ice, milk and banana. Only 300 Cal with 30 g protein so you stay full. :)

Bah! No joy first week. I'm tipping it was the weekend cheese and wine. But back on track, with strength work, jogging and Pilates.

I hope to be down at least 1 kilo by next weigh-in.

    Good luck everyone.

I'm down 4lbs for the first week may be some water weight.... I also make smoothies in the morning. I use complete nutrition vanilla protein, 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, ice, water and 1 cup frozen fruit and its delicious... Not a big breakfast eater so this is quick in the morning and keeps me full until lunch!

Casino plus Super Bowl party = 195.2... Going the wrong way!
  • Yikes! I wish I could hop on this band wagon! It was so easy to lose weight in my 30s! A whole different story at my age. Now, I'm grateful for ANY loss!
  • I know I'm late, but I'm in! I'm 5'8" and weigh 190.3! Good luck everyone!

I'm in, albeit a little late. It looks like I may be the new old lady of the group. My long term goal is to lose 80-90 pounds. I lost 40 pounds before the holidays and maintained it, but now I feel stuck at that weight. It's time to get remotivated. My next short-term goal is to be down at least ten pounds before a vacation at the end of March. This looks like a good place to work on that goal.
  • Im so in 148lb 5.2in lets do this :#

Hi not sure what age you are but I am 46 and thought the same thing. Then I started this app and walking 70k steps a week (more manageable than 10k a day) and the weight has fallen off me. I lost 20 lbs in a little less than two months. I have stalled in Jan due to vacation and travel but back on track in Feb. I have tried every crash diet out there but this is way more effective cause you can live forever on this!

Having a weird week! I weighed in last week at 185.6 but took my weight this morning and am 187.1 so I guess I have gained . . . I am not too worried though but it does put a huge dent in my 10lbs goal

I've gone gone up a couple too. Nothing compared to how good I feel exercising and watching what I eat now tho.
  • Count me in! Just saw this so I'll weigh in tomorrow morning, I'm 5 ft 6" and around 155 lbs, aiming for 130 lb ultimately, haven't been exercising as much as I should but looking forward to this challenge for February!

I want in too! I really need something to motivate me... that's where you folks come in... :)

Currently 200 pounds at 5'4... been having a hard time for the past month or so, with no weight loss. Doubling down starting today. Going to start some bodyweight training tomorrow as something to do for exercise while waiting for spring to get here! Definitely cannot wait to put on my walking shoes and get out there with the little one.

See this is why I cannot WAIT for spring so I can get out there and get walking.

    I'm in! I started with MFP 2 months ago. I'm 24.5, 5'6'' and 206lbs, down 31.

    SW (12/6/14): 237
    CW: (2/4/14): 206
    GW: (eventually): 160

I've already lost 2.8lbs for the month of February so far, but I'm up to losing the rest with all of you! Add me!
  • Hi, I am 52 years old, 5'7" and weigh 205. I am going to try the 10 pound challenge. I have been going to the gym and I haven't seen any pounds off. I am going to pay attention to my food intake and continue with my exercise regimen. My goal is 180-185lbs and I am good. Any good meal plans for under 1200 cal
