True! I can Google a few nutrition articles on the interweb machine and then turn around and call myself a "nutritionist"

She didn't bother to read the WHO's publications.

I thought this post was great. Though I don't think the truth you realized from restricting calories for yourself applies to everyone else, I do agree that your body knows when it's not receiving enough nutrients. Obviously, your body needs 2,000 calories a day to function efficiently, unlike some other people who may not need as much or who may actually need more.
Moreover, if you do restrict your calories to the point of nutrient deprivation, it will lead to starvation mode and a subconscious desire/need to overcompensate. This likely constitutes as an eating disorder, so what I think you're trying to say is that restricting calories can become extremely disordered when it becomes an obsession.
Anyways, kudos to you for coming out of it and being happy just as you are.0 -
Btw, I'm not implying that you had an eating disorder, I'm just saying that calorie counting and restricting can become disordered.0

I gave up trying to explain CICO to people....So now I'm all "yeah - enjoy your boring chicken and brown rice while I eat this pizza..."
I'm lucky, I don't like pizza! LOL But I do like chicken and brown rice with A-1 Steak Sauce (and a heaping pile of steamed veg!). But I get ya!0 -

Welp, I read it. I think I may have some wine.
At least it's vegan, so it won't make me gain weight.0 -
