This weather is really getting old. More -temps on the way. I just don't have the gear for this kind of cold. I found anything over 20F I can do fine in but as soon as we see temps in the teens and windchills into the single or negative digits I am done for.0 -
@skippygirlsmom, @briebee7, @shanaber:
Thanks! That race was the 2nd in a 3 race winter series. The first (in Jan) was the Snowman, and we had fresh snow. The 3rd one is in March, and it is the MudDog. I'm looking forward to that one!
And I'm so jealous of those trail pics of Flagstaff - that's one of my favorite places!
We were in Texas this weekend and I ran my first trail race. It was just 5 miles, but it was something to do while my husband ran his marathon. I've done a little trail running, but never a race. It was amazing! I can't wait to do another! I have a half and 25k planned this spring (road races), but want to do a trail half after that.
I ended up taking an extra rest day after the race so I probably won't make my goal this month, but I will be close.

The temperature went up to 71 degrees. It's getting too hot for my comfort, but it was still a pretty good run. It feels strange that I'm having trouble with higher temperatures when most everyone else is braving the cold. Sometimes it's tough to live in Florida.
All my joints are holding up. I have a half-marathon in three weeks. I think I'll be ready.

@bsalrye & @cooter_mom I love the snow pictures! I am happy not to have to run/hike in it but I love seeing the pictures.
@ohhim Great race!
@Daisy471 - trail running is highly addictive. I think after my marathon this spring I am going to sign up for a few more trail races as well.
I ran just 2 miles yesterday as a recovery run. 1 mile up the hill to the park to let the girls play and 1 mile back down with my daughters in the double BOB. My 5 year old ran the 1 mile down the hill to trader joe's with me though. It was fun!

Just saw this:( Since there are only 6 days left it's kinda too late. Just for kick I'm gonna give myself a goal of 15. I haven't run in a while. Let me know what you do for March.0

Went to PT today and was told to add mileage as I feel comfortable, as long as I have no pain keep adding.
Saw this on facebook and loved it. ETA: Sorry it's so big it wouldn't let me delete and report it.

I had a personal record for distance today! And speed. The progress that I have made this month has been very motivating and mind blowing! If I hadn't set this 60 mile goal in this group, I'm really not sure if I would have done it! But now I am on pace to SURPASS it!! I love reading all the tips, tricks, advice and progress. Seeing all the beautiful scenery and you people that run in the cold....crazy! All of you! Crazy! This group is such an inspiration and a huge motivation! Thanks! Can't wait for March goals!!!

@skippygirlsmom - That's great that you can keep adding to your mileage!
@cooter_mom - awesome on your time and distance! I agree - this group is very motivating! I would have never done as much as I have without it.
