Unexpected results of weight loss

The first time I lost weight, it was hard to buy clothes. I kept getting clothes, trying them on and realizing they were 8 sizes to big. (I went from a 24 to a 16 very quickly) Then, I would go back and grab clothes that looked too small and they would fit. It was also really hard to dress for my body type - I found myself wearing a lot of jeans and T-shirts lol0

I can echo the reduction in band size. Went from 40 to 36 since Jan 1. I haven't owned a 36 in years! I'm just wearing my current ones on the tightest fasteners. Like Cassie, cup size isn't changing as dramatically and I still fill out the J. Bras in that range are expensive, so I'm waiting as long as possible before ordering ones that will fit properly.
But if you're buying bras with a smaller back size then the cup goes down despite it being the same letter - a 40J will be a much bigger cup than a 36J
My own boobs have only just started getting smaller now I'm a lot closer to goal - I was worried they were going to stay exactly the same and I'd be toppling over with the weight, but suddenly I've gone from 36E to 34DD - still have to wear two sports bras when running though1 -
I've lost 20lbs and this maybe TMI but the biggest shocker for me is how good sex is again!0

I'm actually a little disappointed that I've already thrown out all my old clothes, now I can't take a cool picture of me in old jeans that can fit another person...
I've been keeping it at a minimum, and only indoors, but I can't stop touching myself...all those 'new' bones (hip, collar, shoulders, ribs) ^^6 -

I always used body wash in the shower, but now that I've got new muscles popping up everywhere, I've started to use a bar of soap instead. It's so cool feeling everything change gradually!0

I completely agree! I think it's fun when there is obviously less of me to clean and lotion, too. I don't have to reach and stretch to reach all of me, either. Ha - there I am! Done!2 -
So I'm just starting the weight loss process just over 10 lbs down. The first thing I realized yesterday is that I no longer feel embarrassed to go food shopping. My cart used to be filled with so many boxes of junk food that you almost missed the real food. Yesterday food shopping was so easy. Mostly just I the edges of the supermarket only down isles for tp and granola

I announced the same thing to my wife recently. She remained unimpressed....

I find the more I exercise, the more I *want* to exercise. It's not a painful chore anymore.1

I too seem being gradually addicted to the day-after whole-body pains. Investment that can be felt6

I went out in a skirt and high heels this weekend. I actually have lovely legs. I would never have guessed that one!!5

One step at a time - looking to make more friends and share lots of motivation and tips with you all - the more friends the happier!0

Oh so many, what a lovely idea for a thread!
- No more surgery for endometriosis ( I hope! Last scan showed a reduction in my left endometrioma to way below the size at which they cut them out - good news as this disease has seen me in terrible pain and having major ops!
- No more hives
- No more angiodema
- No more anaemia (the theory behind all this by the way is that excess fat leads to an over production of oestrogen which causes these sorts of heavy period and endometriosis and immune response probs)
- No more chub rub! No more raw thighs!
- No more cracked heels!
- No more asthma!
- Amazing, increased energy
- Men flirt with me again!!!!! I really thought I was beyond ever being sexually attractive to anyone
- New friends from sport
- New hobbies
- Whole new lifestyle
Basically my body and mind could not deal with being 4 st overweight and went into mental and physical meltdown!! It's beyond fabulous to be freed of that!
Funny you mentioned cracked heals! I am almost down 30 pounds. Got out the shower last night and noticed how good my feet look...and I haven't used a pumice stone in weeks.2 - No more surgery for endometriosis ( I hope! I stopped snoring when I lost weight. I used to be afraid to take a nap when I took the bus to work each morning. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore3

I just began my weight loss (4 pounds down is a start!) And i just wnted to thsnk you all. This thread is EXACTLY what i needed to keepme from eating everything in my kitchen this morning. I so look forward to most of these feelings, though I can't say I relish the idea of a sore bum and being cold all the time.6

awwww She may seem unimpressed but if you were to revoke her access she would change her tune rather quickly0 -
Good thread. The only new one I could add was I noticed all the sleeves on my shirts got longer. 379 - 296 lbs made the sleeves on my coat almost 2 inches longer (back fat mostly).
When your butt gets smaller, your pants get longer. I have a pair of workout pants I've hemmed 3 times. = unexpected LoL

Unexpected surprises after losing 130lbs:
- i totally feel up my oblique muscles & all the other new ones too
- Not one of my bracelets fit. I expected rings and maybe necklaces but my bracelets too they fall off my hands completely.
- Crying when my heart rate monitor stopped working (FYI polar replaced it easy peasy)
- I never though I'd be a "run errands in yoga pants" girl but I am now. Yoga pants make my butt look great bonus they're way cheaper than jeans
- Fitting into single digit sizes
- Yes to always cold
- Yes to loving shopping
- Yes to thinking I'm about 50lbs bigger than what i actually am
- Yes, hubby loses me in stores all the time.2 -
Newest ones for me ...
I remember now WHY kids run and play so often - because it's FUN and feels good! Yesterday, I was pushing a cart full of stuff from the store back to my car, and had a sudden urge to RUN while pushing the cart... So I did. It just felt fantastic that I CAN, and it didn't HURT, and when I got to the car, though I felt maybe a little silly to be a 40something year old man running across the Costco parking lot with a grocery cart full of stuff, I was grinning from ear to ear... Three months ago, If that thought had crossed my mind, it would have quickly been followed with "Better not.. my knee will hurt, I'll be sweaty and out of breath and I'll feel horrible for the rest of the day."
I just feel *better*.
Every day tasks are easier.
I have more focus.
I wake up feeling more refreshed.
I fall asleep easier.
I am happier.
