    Goal: 60

    01 March = 2.56 miles
    02 March = 2.00 miles
04 March = 5.02 miles - did an out and back route... accidentally stopped my Garmin at half way instead of hitting the lap button - so annoyed as the second half felt faster than the first and I very rarely manage negative splits... ah well!

I'm in a fight with my iphone because I just realized only half of my last post made it through the wifis, so let's try this again:
I'm in for 100 this month- I'm exactly 8 weeks out from a marathon and have a half marathon (Run the Bluegrass in Lexington) on the 28th.
    - 3/1- 14 miles. It was sleeting all day, so on the treadmill  Thank god for House of Cards
    - 3/2- 3 miles (in the snow!)
    - 3/3- weights and yoga day
    - 3/4- 4 miles. On the treadmill again. Can't wait to be in Arizona next week!

That puts me at 21 miles so far this month/week!

Wow! 600 miles! I'm just biking 34 on Saturdays (group ride) and then Sundays are always different - sometimes 50, sometimes 25, sometimes a run instead.

I went to my running store tonight to get new shoes and I ended up buying the same exact ones I already have. I just started running last summer, so these are my first running shoes. I went in all excited to get a different pair after reading all of you discuss the thrill of new shoes but then when I tried these same ones on, I loved them again. They are New Balance 880v4. When I bought them in August I tried on at least 10 pairs before I finally settled. I didn't even think they would still make the same ones because I figured like textbooks, they make new ones every year. The person who helped me looked at my old shoes and said that I was wearing them out evenly, so I guess that was good.

Give me another year and I'll be an expert.... okay, I won't be an expert, but I'll at least know what brand I wear (which I really didn't even remember until I looked at them tonight).

@HealthyFocused715‌ I guess in that case, I should picture myself crossing the line in 2.5 hours :) Still, if I don't put in a few hundred more miles of training runs before the race, visualization might not get me too far.

    Solid mid-distance run this evening.

    3/1 - 17 miles
    3/3 - 5 miles
    3/4 - 8 miles

    Total: 30 miles
    Goal: 180 miles
    Remaining: 150 miles

Ha - I thought I was the only one to do this and I would never admit to it! But then they have to have names so you can track the mileage on each pair, right?

Lol - so far I managed to track the mileage just fine by calling them "Saucony ProGrid Paramount 2" or "Icebug ENLIGHT-L RB9X", but I guess "James" or "Susy" would roll
off the tongue a little more easily :p

Related to tracking mileages: is anyone using a "Milestone Pod"?
I recently heard about those. I don't really need a clip-on gadget to keep track of mileage (especially not since it can only do that for a single pair of shoes), but apparently it also gives you statistics on running form things like cadence and how much front/midfoot/heel strike you do.

March 1 - 5K - 3rd place in my age group. Not my best time, but happy with it! 29:07
    March 2- rest
March 3- 5.05 miles and strength training
    March 4 - 5.09 miles
    March 5 - 5.13 miles

65 with 100% humidity. Have to get used to this humidity again. It’s back and will be here through October. New shoes were great! I didn't realize that my old ones were getting so worn.

The moon this morning, at 4:30. Strange... it was a beautiful, clear sky but my phone turned it into a Monet painting.

Lol - good idea. I took a marker and wrote a big O inside the old shoes so I would know those are the old ones, in case later I get them mixed up. So those old ones will be known as Obert. And my new ones... IDK yet.

    3/2 = 5.09 miles
    3/3 = 3.11 miles
    3/4 = 3.27 miles
    3/5 = Weights and x train
    ________________
    Total = 11.47 miles
    8.53 miles until goal

Giving myself a running break today. Less of a desire and more of a necessity thing. Cannot wait for the next three days. They are forecast to be beautiful.

No, you don't have to post any other activities, but you may. I think it's nice to see what other ways people stay active on their non-running days.
